Have to agree if stared at they are harsh. The lights were installed free of charge to bring the lighting up to European standard, hence why we had the Ladies European games played there. If they weren't installed those games would not have taken place, doesn't mean to say we have to have them on during our games though.
Maybe if someone dropped the club a line highlighting their interference when viewing, they may consider not using them, just a thought.
Those lights are not customer friendly with the dazzling glare they create and cause discomfort.I know many have complained about this to the club but nothing has been done.Apparently it didn't cost the club a penny when they were installed,so no surprise we did not complain. However, when the lights are on the four corners of the pitch appear to be much brighter than in the middle. This problem has also not been addressed, probably because we don't want to spend any money to correct this. The ideal solution for us all, would be a buyout by Ron Hull Jr. Many fans are not happy with the way this club is being run and lots of season ticket holders are not turning up because of the lack of ambition.Without new owners the future looks bleak.Fingers crossed, there is a new era on the horizon.
Brin. I know someone who complained directly to Tony Stewart about these dazzling lights and the chairman promised to remove them and improve the main lighting on top of the stand roofs.Nothing happened. Ive resorted to creating a super long peaked cap to cut out the glare.Far from ideal. With a chairman whos business is lighting we ought to have the best floodlights in the country!
