Thread: Scott Parker has to go

    Scott Parker has to go

We are 9 points from safety and we cannot defend for our lives so what does Parker do when we get our nose in front. He tries to defend a one goal lead.Laurent has never been good enough for the PL but he is Parkers favourite.Foster should be playing Sunday League football but he gets in the starting eleven.
Parker is totally feckin clueless.Get out of our club and take your negative tactics with you.Rant over.

I can’t disagree with you CiB. His team selection has been a mystery all season. Fleming could/should have had a hat trick. It was disappointing to lose Hannibal to an injury. Foster put in a good ball, converted by Fleming, but that is about all he did.

Dubravka has kept out so many shots this season but what a clanger for their first!

Laurent, what can be said about him? He is slow and for a big guy he is easily dispossessed. He has no ball control - essential at this level. Hence their second goal after he failed to control a pass to him.

As usual we showed off how we can pass backwards from their box to Dubravka. We did it 5 times in the first half.

On the positive side both Anthony and Fleming put in a shift and Hartman did some good stuff. However, in addition to Parker’s ineptitude, too many are the squad are simply not good enough for PL level.

It is getting unbearable now though Alf.A blind man and his dog can see that he is clueless. We must be skint because if Pace had the nerve to sack SD when we were in a similar position but not having blown 100 million on players then why wont he sack Parker?
SD?s tactics were dour at times but you could see the logic of those tactics with Parker there is no logic to his tactics or substitutions or set pieces or his starting eleven. Its a complete shambles.

Yes Swiss Anthony and Flemming put a good shift in but there are players who are already on their holidays and others who are just nowhere near good enough for the PL.Yes Hartman had a much better game.Tchauma and Edwards did nothing after they came on.They could not be bothered to tackle the opposition in our penalty box.Disgraceful when you consider the money they are on.There needs to be an almighty clearout in the Summer starting with Parker.

I agree with all the comments in this thread, Parker is not good enough. But I have to say that the one person who has been forgotten about this situation this season and that one person is Alan Pace. I do know he knows a lot less than the people on this board in respect of who should be signed and who shouldn't be signed. However, clearly he is being advised as to who should be signed and on that basis Alan Pace then signs the cheque. The problem I have is if he is such a good business man then I expect that he should be ruthless as the signings are simply a business transaction. Alan Pace should be reviewing on a daily basis who are the people making the recommendations for Alan Pace to sign and when he realises who that person is that has provided advice to buy players at high cost and wages is failing he should take the opportunity and dismiss any person not capable of doing their job. Or if it is because we are identifying players using algorisms surely that should also be terminated and a different approach adopted. I have looked at the way Brentford approach there method of selecting their players seem to adopt a very mixed but sensible method. It is not rocket science but it makes sense and the detail is on the internet why are we not able to follow suit.

Bottom line Alan Pace is the head and any shortfalls or benefits is down to him and until he sells or adopts a much stronger ruthless streak we will never learn.

For whatever reason this season has been a $hitfest. I can only point my finger at Parker.

We?ve debated and discussed for months on here BT

The thing that really gets on my nerves is we?re down and have been for some time and yet he?s never once taken a different approach and tried to play more expansive football

He?s an intelligent man he must know regardless of how he fronts up we?re a young team and the learning and progressing *******s he spouts that has worn thin.

Why oh why can?t we set up to have a go and keep having a go instead of just negative all the time

The owners must know by now he?s not liked

We were actually doing ok until we got our goal Army. Then the numpty tries to defend that lead and we went deep giving Fulham the initiative with time on the ball and come at us-just what a Marco Silva team loves to do..After the goals we have conceded all season who in God?s name would have made that choice?
