    Scott Parker

Some of the news linking SP with the possible sack is frankly ridiculous. However, I am concerned with decisions being made in respect of dropping players etc. We seem to have a manager, like Kompany, who is probably a good coach but seems to be terrible at managing people and there feelings. As a player he was very good and never really had to face being dropped very often so has no experience of what it is like to be dropped. IMO he provides the persona that if a player is dropped he thinks that the player should just get on with it. But it doesn't matter what level or sport you play being dropped can result in loss of confidence etc., but that can be cushioned by rational evidence for the reasons. This is where a manger knows who will just get on with it and those that need an arm around and a rational chat. I get the feeling this is where Parker shares his methods with Kompany. I know the game is brutal but sometimes you need to give some players more understanding than others to ensure they stay within the thougfhts of the manager,

Tbf and I don’t know Lancaster

Parker seems to me to be very level
Headed and a well balanced manager / person

We are surmising but from us looking in the players seem to like him and accept the philosophy the team is the greater good.

I think probably you and I amd a few others would question personel - formation and set up etc but that’s managing I guess ( we all see things differently)

I posted on another thread it will be interesting to see our approach in the next 3-4 games as caution imo has to be cast aside - we need to win some points and if we continue as we have been doing if the crowd stay with SP - the pressure will build on him and the players at that point and then the cracks could show.

It’s amazing how quickly promotion is forgotten and points recorded etc were 7 games in and some of our fans want rid of Parker and the media are starting to turn the screw.

As Greavsie would say it’s a funny old game - he was right it is.

We are only 7 games in and a long way to go, my concern is a lot of the squad are purely Championship players. The board have backed Parker and he made 2 great signings in Walker and Dubravka but so far the others not great, maybe time to overhaul the recruitment team.

There are some more good signings-Ugochukwu, Florentino, Tchauma and Hartman all look comfortable in the PL.However why we spunked funds on Flemming, Bruun Larsen and Josh Laurent is beyond me.Not signing a recognised striker and not playing Tresor is a complete mystery to me.
