Thread: Your thoughts on next season please?

  1. #11
How’s about something on these lines for next season...?

    Goalkeepers:
    Max Weiss.
Find 2 x more Jimmy Traffords.
    Defenders:
    Kieran Trippier. (Can but dream).
    Lucas Pires.
    Bashir Humphreys.
    Maxime Esteve.
    Oliver Sonne.
    Quilindschy Hartman.
    Midfielders:
    Josh Cullen.
    Hannibal Mejbri.
    Josh Laurent.
    Lesley Ugochukwu.
    Jaidon Anthony.
    Marcus Edwards.
    Luca Koleosho.
    Aaron Ramsey.
    Loum Tchaouna.
    Jacob Bruun Larsen.
    Forwards:
    Zian Flemming.
    Andreas Hountondji.
    Zeki Amdouni.
    Armando Broja.

Surely that little lot would get us back out of the Championship.

On 9 January 2026, Koleosho left his loan at Espanyol and joined Ligue 1 side Paris FC on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. On 18 January 2026, he made his debut for Paris, scoring the winning goal in a 2–1 league victory over Nantes.

Not a done deal yet though army88.

I reckon there will be the inevitable fire sale of assets in the Summer because we are so skint that we could not afford to bin our clueless manager. That translates into the dross that is so obvious to us all being left at Turf Moor under Clueless Cardy with the inevitable bunch of loanees.
Those so-called assets are worth nowhere near as much as the assets we sold after our previous relegation which is also a knock on effect of Clueless Cardys negative tactics. That means we will be financially worse off after the sale of our so-called assets than after the previous relegation. If our incompetent recruitment teamm is not replaced then expect more of the same next season.Add to that dwindling match day receipts because nobody wants to watch the schoite that is served up by Clueless Cardy and you have a recipe for disaster.Anybody on here who thinks we will be challenging for even the top six next season needs to sober up.
Cardy has to go, the recruitment team has to go and a thorough clearout of the dross needs to happen otherwise there will be little or no progress.
A financially sound club would move heaven and earth in order to keep their best assets to boost their chances of promotion but we never do so that tells you everything you need to know about the state of the club.

Thought he?d been sold Bt - doesn?t fit in to our laboured system so he won?t be coming back I?d guess

No transparency from ALK & Pace and it's the same complaint in Barcelona army88.

Best guesstimates from multiple sources indicate we need ?100k to come in to balance the books.

We might just manage to scrape together 100k from the sales of Foster, Bruun Larsen and Laurent....

He wants Viki to win.He does not need to influence the election.Viki will win - if you give the people who voted for you what you promised then they tend to re-elect you.
Viki promised to keep out the illegals, keep us out of the Ukraine debacle, we have 1 million more people working in 2026 than when Viki took office in 2010, gives us the cheapest energy bills in the EU, no wokeness or LGBTQ in schools, grants and tax breaks for large families, no income tax for life for working mothers of 2 or more children,no income tax for men under 25, government supported fixed 3% up to 25 year mortgages for first time home buyers, no inheritence tax, no council tax etc etc.Why would we not re-elect him.I dont know about far right I think a lot of these policies are support for working people and families.
These policies are what the Trump administration admire so much.Viki has become the defacto leader of the European patriotic parties.
Viki has also done some deals with the Trump administration with more investment than ever coming into Hungary from US companies. We are now only the second country in the world outside Germany to have factories from BMW, Mercedes and Audi.BYD and CATL have also opened factories here in the last 12 months.Chinese investments break records every year.
What is there not to like?
