Some folk must watch a different team to me, to watch our players and think a different set of coaches gets them to play dynamic. Saying that a new tea lady might help.

But don?t you think people have different opinions Matt to you and me which is the beauty of football?

I welcome different views and respect them as seen last week in the Blackburn pub talking to a crowd whose views were clearly different person by person. These too are the people who spend s hit loads of cash going to the away games! My view on Heggebo is we were robbed but the next person might think he?s a budding Harry Kane. Each to their own.

At this point in time I would be happy for Jimmy to take the managers role next season.
We have just seen the failure to bring in a manager who can improve us in the appointments of Mowbray then Mason then Ramsey.
Thankfully Morrison has managed to steady the ship and hopefully avoid us dropping down a division.

Although next seaason we all want to be aiming for the play off's I would rather see a little stability over chancing our arm.
Who knows if we can find the ideal manager to achieve our aims but I suspect we will still be hampered by financial restrictions so would take a season of steadiness rather than rolling the dice once again.

How our financial situation pans out will be crucial. Glad to have retained an improving Diakite but we will need a decent replacement RB for the departing Imray (would love to retain him but that's wishful thinking), a creative midfielder and a proven goal scorer at minimum. We will lose the wage costs of Wallace, Dike, Grant and Maja (as well as O'Leary if we choose not to take out the extra years option) but won't benefit from any sell on payments which will leave us both short in squad options and short in terms of finances to bring new players in. This will make any talk of a "clear out" extremely difficult and, in any case, who would take some of our costly but underwhelming players off our hands?

Given our finances, I suspect that your season of "steadiness" might be closer to the mark than a big clear out and a push for promotion/ play offs-though given the nature of the Championship and the change in rules, the latter will remain a possibility.

Personally, I wouldn't mind this if it meant a considered rebuild and being able to utilise and develop our younger players such as Sule, Bostock and Whitwell alongside our more experienced players but smarter recruitment to replace our departing players will also be crucial. On that point, would anyone consider retaining Grant, for example, for a further year on a reduced contract given that our depth of squad will be greatly depleted when all our out of contract and on loan players depart?

Good post Omeg and sensible. I like Grant but the end product is a bit like Price - poor! There is much better out there on his wages and can?t see him taking a wage drop so perhaps that answers the question.

A rebuild and the aim of play offs but mid table might be realistic. I hate to say it but if we played Wolves now and the 3rd from bottom coming down we will get hammered!
