    Barnsley Post Match Thoughts

In a terrible season, that display easily outshone the other abject performances.

What can you do with a boot & a clog! Squad assembled is a shambles. Lee Clark is the fall guy. Artell next to attempt to get us back on track.

As I said on the matchthread, Biancheri should have put away at least one of his chances and who knows what might have happened. Heads went down after Barnsley scored and that was that. We are a mixture of inexperienced youth, and experienced players who are really past their best. Its going to be a long few weeks til the season ends.

NYS looked a sad place after the 3 goal !

Apart from Gray and Nombe at times that wasn?t a team of footballers.

Not fair to blame Clarke and I can see him staying on but non leaugue looks a real
possibility if things don?t change quickly.

Total clear out of those in charge and majority of players - theyre not good enuff

Dire season - MH very much responsible !

Whether Clark is the man to lead us forward or not I'm not sure but I thought his post match interview today was very good. He makes some really good points about fitness levels, player attitudes and so on. He essentially says what every fan has been thinking. Very refreshing to hear after such a dismal season.

Definitely worth a listen if you haven't already.

LC post match interview was excellent at last someone calling out the players, saying stop hiding behind others and step up. Saying this group of players are not robust enough, as soon as training intensity or playing intensity is stepped up they get muscle injuries because they are not fit enough and do not take personal responsibility, well done Lee.

these players brought in by Taylor, Evan?s and Hamshaw did all three get it wrong or is there a common factor that gets away with any blame? Yes Rob Scott has been the head of recruitment for all these players, yet again Benson is injured should never have wasted a wage on him, Kaleta can?t play five games on the trot, these are awful recruits. Obviously the management is a huge factor but the shocking way this club has been run in the last few years has led us to this situation, shocking leadership, shocking senior management, shocking recruitment and shocking player preparation and fitness management. When you add clueless coaching and management it is a wonder we have taken this long to return to L2. Either TS steps up and actually leads us and comes out and admit his failings and clears out the deadwood in the management layer and the playing staff or this is one family that will not renew their season tickets, not that I think TS cares about that in any way. His legacy is fast becoming very very negative, it is not how you start it is how you finish.

Just watched his interview and have to say - impressive !!

Said it all as it is - dont think he?ll be psssd about and will get rid where needed.

Could well be the guy to sort us if he gets the backing - otherwise he?ll be off !

We have had the worst of experience and inexperience this season. Kelly and Benson are busted flushes. They were terrible.. Gray too selfish. Bianchieri panicked with two chances to score.Theyll be ok but we're not here to educate them really.
As I've stated before we should aim to dispose of the entire squad if possible. They have stunk the place out.
As for Clark he came in all gung ho. Now it's harsh honesty from him. But actions speak louder than words and we know what hot air is.
The real truth is that he's done nothing to arrest the decline and motivate what is admittedly a terrible bunch of players with no fight and resilience. The blame for that lies mainly at the door of Scott and Hamshaw.
We need to look no further than Stevenage so get your wallet out Mr Stewart. Trust me. Nothing less will do

That was a mirror image of MH a fraud of the highest order. Pathetic incompetent and out of their depth. If he isn’t our worst ever manager I don’t know is who was? Pathetic manager who has left us with a pathetic bunch of incompetent players. He should be ashamed of himself. Fraud.

That performance was awful and embarrassing.A change of manager will not solve the massive problem at this club. The chairman must take full responsibility for another horrendous season. The fans have had enough of his empty promises and will not be conned any more.A complete clearout is needed, otherwise we will sink even further.
