Thread: Your thoughts on next season please?

  1. #31
I had high expectations for this season and cannot believe how badly we are performing.

With characters like Mike Jackson, Jack Cork and $hithouse Barnes around the place, I fail to understand why we are so poor.

Viki promised to keep out the illegals, keep us out of the Ukraine debacle, we have 1 million more people working in 2026 than when Viki took office in 2010, gives us the cheapest energy bills in the EU, no wokeness or LGBTQ in schools, grants and tax breaks for large families, no income tax for life for working mothers of 2 or more children,no income tax for men under 25, government supported fixed 3% up to 25 year mortgages for first time home buyers, no inheritence tax, no council tax etc etc.Why would we not re-elect him.I dont know about far right I think a lot of these policies are support for working people and families.
These policies are what the Trump administration admire so much.Viki has become the defacto leader of the European patriotic parties.
Viki has also done some deals with the Trump administration with more investment than ever coming into Hungary from US companies. We are now only the second country in the world outside Germany to have factories from BMW, Mercedes and Audi.BYD and CATL have also opened factories here in the last 12 months.Chinese investments break records every year.
What is there not to like?
Lefties won't like the sound of that success story CiB, be interesting to see what spin our resident Lefty puts on it.

I'm currently reading that Viktor Orban and his nationalist Fidesz party are under pressure as he seeks his fifth successive term in office.

Defeat could have far-reaching implications for Hungary, the EU, Ukraine and beyond. There is a whisper that around 80,000 Hungarian Jews are disaffected with Orban and could swing the vote away from him.

Jews causing bother. Who'd have thought it?

Only in LeftyLand could using your democratic right to vote be called 'causing bother'.

Trump has found a zillion ways to stop black & Hispanic folks having the right to vote. "Democratic right to vote"- you are having a giraffe mon ami.

You are kidding me again mon ami - right? The Evil Emperor is even now trying to end the inherent citizen right of citizenship of a child born in the USA.

The reality is descendants of slaves and people with Hispanic heritage find it almost impossible to obtain the mechanism to place a vote because of the structural barriers that disproportionately affect these communities.

Another reality that I discovered when I lived in the US is that given the opportunity the "minority voters" turn out in large numbers and tend to vote for the Democrats. That frightens the Evil Emperor to death, hence the structural barriers he happily puts in place.

You mention 'structural barriers' twice mon ami, this sounds like Lefty bluff, bluster and hogwash to me, just what are these 'structural barriers' that prevent the descendants of slaves and Hispanics from obtaining the 'mechanism' to place a vote ?

Incidentally, voter ID is something the American public wants and supports.

    https://yougov.com/en-us/articles/54...st-yougov-poll

"Americans are twice as likely to support as to oppose requiring everyone to provide proof of citizenship in order to register to vote: 59% strongly or somewhat support this, and 29% oppose it."

Read up "structural barriers" mon ami and save me having to explain it to you again.

I assume you are talking about white Americans? According to the most recent government statistics, 60.5% of the US Census Bureau estimates that white Americans comprise the majority of the population. No wonder they want to keep it that way eh mon ami?

Never heard of structural barriers to voting mon ami, and it's obvious you don't know what they are either, apart from more Lefty hogwash.

I don't think you really understand the situation mon ami, at the moment anyone can vote in the USA, and the American people don't want to keep it that way, they want voter ID. What on earth is wrong with that, it's the norm in 98% of the world's democracies.
