    At least some good news

Wendys start next season on -15

    15. That is more than expected, way more. An example being made?

However, it would only be imposed if the 25p in pound was not met. Since 6p was in with the bid, it is a condition and a threat at this stage.
I can only assume it is to stop the club going on the cheap. However, a report says Chansari has still not set up how debts are to be paid off.

    A May the 1st seems very close……

FWIW, the fact they're just offering whatever they please to cover the debts, should be met with far harsher penalties. Whatever people's views are on Chansiri, the future owners aren't exactly showing the sort of respect for him and (probably more importantly) other creditors that the EFL should expect to see.

A Rangers style hammering would seem more suitable here, down to the bottom of the pyramid.

Not just because it's Weds, before anyone replies to my post, this could have been any club but, here is the perfect opportunity for the new so called Zsar of football to wield whatever they see fit when dealing with his scenario.

A club needs to be made an example of and unfortunately it's Weds' turn. West Brom are currently looking at a points deduction irrespective of the fact they've breached spending rules by approx 1 million. Miniscule in football spending but, they've broke the rules end of and are looking at between 3-6 points, that may well send them down and rightly so.

Ulley points out the new potential owners are showing a lack of respect to both Chansiri and others creditors, or are they?

    1. As new owners would you show grace and respect and cover all debts owed, approx 30 million, to people you've never even met and on a business that currently has no squad?

    2. Take the - 15 points and use say 30 million to fix a dilapidated ground, build new up to date training facilities and spend the rest on a new squad?

No brainer really. If I were buying Weds a club in such a mess but showed potential and, I had no previous contact with them or outstanding creditors, I'd take the -15 points and look to invest in getting a business giving me a return because that's what Weds are, a company business. The lesser offer to creditors doesn't sound fair and harsh but it's a highly competitive market when spending in football as we all well know. The fact Mike Ashley wanted to take the -15 points is no different to this Yank coming in with the same business plan.

The bits of Wednesday matches I've seen this season have convinced me their squad would be top Ten in our mediocre league. A generous new owner will make mincemeat of five defeats.
We nearly made the play-offs on minus seventeen.

These guys must love setting fire to 20 pound notes,by the time they've done buying it,fixing the stadium and training ground they will be pushing 100 million poorer, that's without even touching the playing staff.
But they are a massive sleeping giant of course.

This is not a normal scenario. The whole thing happens within the gaze of the EFL, a local community who are invested in various ways, and local businesses who will clearly have very strong views on the manner of the takeover. I can see the sense in taking all of the pain in terms of points hits, relegations, whatever comes, because that club is big enough to get 20k plus crowds in the conference. The focus, without any morality questions, may well be best placed in spending as many pounds as possible on sorting out the ground, facilities, and generally modernising the club. That doesn't come without impact though.

There are two disparate issues at play. The first is the manner of the takeover, which the EFL should have some say (or at least a view) on, and stakeholders on all sides will clearly take a position on what they want. The second is the much more controllable item, the reaction from the EFL. The EFL has a duty to protect itself, its members, and its brand. Watching credible investors openly saying the better option is a points hit suggests that they're both lenient and that they're allowing in yet another owner who has a question mark around their ethics. If the EFL doesn't revisit the 15 point hits for future cases, then it's failing.

I know its them but they are like us from Sth Yorks and the fans have been so loyal in all this sheeite !

Yeah I wanna beat em every time but I bet not many millers don?t have a mate or similar who they have all the footy banter with regardless.

I?ve sung the wings of a sparrow song for decades but if I bump into a wendi fan it?s always ammicable!

A lot more devious footy deals gone on in the prem but they have the ?????? to deflect responsibility.
