Whereas I agree with much of what you wrote in your earlier post, I have to take issue with this one.
What you have described is nothing more than an ambition. A plan is a completely different animal.

If the manager asks for a creative midfielder and he gives a number of options, highlights one of which is extremely injury prone, but the manager signs Josh Benson anyway, has he done a poor job?

It would seem he also highlighted Ryan One as a potential signing this season, who is about to get a league medal, whereas we ended up with Biachieri instead. How many other did he put under the managers nose weren't signed?
You are assuming that any players put forward as potential signings didn't see better opportunities elsewhere.
Ryan One clearly did.....and he wasn't wrong was he?

It’s going to be a long and at times frustrating haul, but with key learning taken forwards we can turn this around. May be a while in the basement first though

I will be happy to talk to anyone face to face about the ****show that has been Rotherham United this season ans many previous seasons.

I have hated to see good men with great intentions being misrepresented by the club.

I hope that the club can get another manager that will produce against the odds another miracle but I believe that the present owner won’t have the balls to fulfill their ambition

Like many Millers, I really hope we can put this season well and truly behind us and have something to once again, genuinely be excited about

Good evening frog, I have held this back since 2nd April when I spoke to a chap at a posh Wedding at Carlton Towers Estate. The Brides family & friends from Birmingham & the grooms family from Rotherham so a clash of accents. He picked up on my accent & said I assume your on the groom’s side, I said yes from Rotherham. He asked me if I was a Rotherham football fan, I said yes for my sins. He asked my thoughts about Matt Hamshaws sacking, I said a little disappointed being a Rawmarsh lad like my self but I don’t think he helped him self in certain areas of the game.He said he had close dealings with Rotherham & this is what he told me. Steven Evans spent 7.4m in the second time he was with us, he signed Dawson on 7k a week.Matt was given 1m budget but was not to sign anybody on over 1500 a week wages. This is why we got the players, the crocks, the kids.I take this is what you already knew.I have no reason to disbelieve this chap.

The way I read it, big burns doesn?t necessarily assume any such thing. If the player does that, it?s not Scott?s fault and it doesn?t alter the assertion that Scott identified the player. Which was the point. How can we say Scott is doing a bad job when we don?t know which players we never hear about, only the ones the manager is actually allowed to sign? Ryan One is a player we did hear about and is a good example.

But he still failed. The budget was an issue yes I agree. Who insisted on playing the system, who set us up not to lose and be tepid? I think it?s fair to say he had to operate in difficult circumstances. He contradicted himself with supporters he didn?t help himself. I understand that some feel he was in a difficult situation and I agree he was. He still wasn?t up to the job though take away the emotion and he failed. If he wasn?t from Rotherham a lot more would agree. The board have to take responsibility for this season no doubt. A competent manager would have still kept us up. The situation has been allowed to get so bad that the last few weeks were inevitable and a product of what has been allowed to manifest all season. Nice guy yes terrible manager absolutely.
