The price of oil goes up, the price of oil comes down, nothing new under the sun, neither is a fuel crisis, and the world always comes out the other side. Besides which there are no shortages in the USA, they have the good sense to use what's under their feet, we could as well, but the eco-loons tell us we mustn't, so we get our cojones squeezed as well.

He's even dafter than you mon ami...
BREAKING: Starmer denies knowing he was Prime Minister.
Sir Keir Starmer has revealed he was unaware he’d actually won the 2024 election and taken office, claiming officials “never made it clear.”
Speaking to Beth Rigby, he said:
“I was completely kept in the dark. No one told me I was Prime Minister until last Tuesday. I’m very disappointed in the process.”
Pressed on how he’d managed months of Cabinet meetings, PMQs and policy announcements, Starmer clarified:
“I assumed I was still in opposition… just unusually well briefed.”
Downing Street insiders insist there were “clues,” including the keys to Number 10, the red box, and being addressed as “Prime Minister” several times a day — but sources say these may have been “missed in the detail.”
A spokesperson later confirmed the situation is “under review,” adding:
“The Prime Minister now fully understands he is, in fact, the Prime Minister — and has been for some time.”
He just doesn't remember having a friend called Peter...
If you don't understand the baleful effects on the Middle East of the terrorist regime in Iran, at least the other Gulf States do, and the majority of Iranians do, and they all want to see the back of it, then I'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you.
It's only clear to me that Trump's America is seeking a regime change. Who gave the authority for him to actually believe he is the new Jesus Christ. Congress certainly didn't.
If you keep on poking next door's Alsatian I'm pretty sure he will bite you.
What happened to the Evil Emperor's election pledge that foreign wars are history?
He's now committing piracy on the high seas.
Someone, somehow needs to rein this mad pfhucker in.![]()
Elections? Trump rigged and continues to attempt to defraud the US electoral process. I well remember the scenes of joy when Khomeni arrived back in Tehran after living in exile in Paris.

The US constitution is in place to prevent a demented dictator from acting out acts of warfare on behalf of the United States of America. They didn't and next up is the ballroom.![]()
It could only be in Lefty Land, a Trump proposal to have voter ID is seen as an attempt to rig elections. Most countries in the world, 46/47 European countries, 33/38 members of the OECD, require some form of voter ID, in order to prevent voter fraud or rigged elections. But Trump wants to bring in voter ID in order to rig elections ? How the feck does that work ? Only in Lefty Land.
Like I keep saying mon ami, you're all either madmen or congenital liars on the Left, or both. I can draw no other conclusion.
All the Jews men...
A Parliamentary petition calling for a public inquiry into the influence on British politics by the Israeli lobby, which was the signed by over 113,000 UK citizens, has been rejected by Keir Starmer's Labour government!
Around 180 MPs out of 650, across multiple parties: 130 Conservative, 41 Labour, along with members from the Lib Dems, DUP, Reform, and two independents have accepted donations from the Israeli lobby.
In total, over one million pounds has flowed into our Parliament in recent years from pro-Israel sources, including individuals closely linked to lobbying networks and even Israeli state institutions. MPs, including Stephen Morgan, have taken more than 240 funded trips to Israel, costing over half a million pounds.
But it doesn't stop there. Trevor Chinn, a long-time pro-Israel lobbyist, has financed eight members of Keir Starmer's front bench, including ?50,000 to Starmer's own leadership campaign. And another pro-Israel businessman donated ?4.5 million to Labour in 2023 alone, ?350,000 of which directly funded the offices of key frontbenchers like David Lammy, Rachel Reeves and Yvette Cooper.

I signed this petition, this was the reply:
Dear MR BEDLINGTON TERRIER
The Government has responded to the petition you signed – “Call a public inquiry into pro-Israel influence on politics & democracy”.
Government responded:
The Government does not support a public inquiry, but takes the issue of foreign influence from any country and lobbying in UK politics very seriously and is already taking action to address this.
The Government does not support a public inquiry on pro-Israeli influence, and does not have plans to hold an inquiry on wider foreign influence and lobbying more generally. However, the Government takes concerns about foreign influence in politics and democracy seriously, and is already taking action to address this.
There is an existing framework for transparency around lobbying of the UK Government and Parliament which includes quarterly government transparency publications of ministers’ and senior officials’ external meetings, a statutory register for consultant lobbyists, and Parliament’s Codes of Conduct which set rules on lobbying and the registration of interests by members of each House. As part of open governance, ministers meet many people and organisations and consider a wide range of views as part of the formulation of government policy.
Going further, the Prime Minister has asked the Ethics and Integrity Commission to carry out a review into lobbying, disclosure and access to government. This includes looking at whether the current arrangements for transparency around lobbying are sufficient. In Parliament, the Government has asked the Lords Conduct Committee to expand its work reviewing the code of conduct to consider whether the rules relating to peers and lobbying need to be reformed.
Most recently, in December 2025, the Government announced an independent review into foreign financial influence and interference in UK politics led by Philip Rycroft. The review focused on foreign financial influence and interference in the UK’s political and electoral systems from a range of sources, building on the major reforms set out in the Elections Strategy announced in July 2025. The review’s findings were published on 25 March 2026.
The Government responded immediately to the review with two measures via amendments to the Representation of the People Bill. Subject to parliamentary approval, these changes are an annual ?100,000 cap on total political donations and regulated transactions made by British citizens living abroad, and a moratorium on political donations made using cryptocurrency of any amount. These measures build upon existing measures in the Bill to introduce tougher rules on political interference in the UK’s elections. The Government will consider all of the other recommendations of the Rycroft review and respond to them in due course.
