    Great result.

The commentators said they wondered if these are the players who have been playing for Eddie, which is why he's picked them start. . . food for thought I guess.

Another view was, putting these ones in the window.

Who knows. . . either way - mathmatically safe from relegation

That is prime position that needs sorting.

I'd say first to be honest.

If Eddie is still here next season I'm expecting great things seeing as we wont be in Europe, he will have nothing to fall back on. Lots of training days and one game a week apart from cup games maybe.

    Agreed.

And funnily enough, I think he'll do just that, if he's here.

    Great result,

I wonder if it was most expensive bench in NUFC history?

Howe best teams are about discipline, commitment and teamwork. Thats the only reason that I can think off to explain that team selection.
He basically returns to square zero

    Well what a welcome surprise.

All of the players I questioned (well… mostly) proved me wrong for at least the first half.

Willock was effective and ran his socks off, second half he lagged.

Burn… picked up a yellow, but scored a goal… think the game clearly was doubling up with Joelinton when out of possession and it worked mostly… they had chances from the wings but all teams do in fairness.

Osula got a goal, simple header but he had to be in the right place to score it. Still very raw though, and I’m still questioning his actual ceiling in terms of ability overall to be honest.

Miley was outstanding, his contribution going forward was very obvious and he played the role very well against both Minteh and Mitoma as it turned out. I do worry about his long term progress if being selected their on the regular, and if that is something he’d want to do long term, but it did make me think of how often Liverpool play Szobozlai as RB.

I felt sorry for Wissa, the lad clearly needs a run of games to get sharp, but he put the work in and was instrumental in the third… and it was nervy as he’ll till that point, how often have we conceded in the last minute, and that third killed the game off so played his part and made a very telling contribution.

Hall coming on made a big difference down the left, the run and ball he put in for the great chance for Wissa shows what he is capable of.

The change of formation to 3-4-3 was very welcome, and gives us options in the future I would hope.

Pope… that great save from the overhead kick, but he had to carry part of the blame for their goal with that shocking clearance, and nearly cost us 2 goals with poor clearances… GK is a must in the summer, can’t see Ramsdale staying if Pope is being brought back in so easily, but I think most of us would agree that a new keeper and at least 1 striker is the No 1 priority.

Woltemade never made an appearance, still like the lad but unless Eddie plays 2 up-front or plays a 4-2-3-1 with him as the 10, then I can see him being sold and both parties wanting that to happen.

A much needed 3 points, and 2 hard games coming up against relegation battling Forest and West Ham to show this wasn’t a one-off.
