Though I know a lot of slide guitar is played in open tunings, I've not seen the tip of just tuning the top E down to a D before so will have a go at that. I've struggled with control when I've attempted slide playing before but this will encourage me to have another go.

Hideaway, along with the cover of Otis Rush's All my love, was one of my favourite tracks from the classic Clapton/ Bluesbreakers Beano album. I've only ever got so far in mastering it though so will have to revisit that too now.

Hi , I have found a way round it by using my midlle finger more when finger picking or and ocasionally when using a pick .
I never did music at school , so I have found it hard , it must be great for the knowledge to be come natural .
