I am one of those people who massively regret voting leave and I know others who are the same.

I was engulfed in the cloud of stupidity that settled on the UK at the time of the election
    .
I have now come to my senses

The time is right for another referendum and this time there will.be no mistakes.

    REMAIN

The fast failing EU is skint and desperate for our money to help bail them out. Italians would vote overwhelmingly to leave given the chance. Our disgraceful incompetent Government see the EU as a solution to their problems.Best thing we did was to get out. Such a shame itÂ’s not been done properly.

Before Brexit, we tried to tell Leave voters that despite the likes of Farage's claims, it wasn't a magical fix that was going to reduce immigration or make us richer.

As a consequence, business investment in the UK is drastically down (by 12% to 18%), and overall GDP is between 6% and 8% lower than it would have been if we had remained, even worse than the estimates. The hit to the UK economy is up to the tune of around ?3,000 per household per year compared to where we should be, and immigration is massively up - just from countries outside the EU, like India, because we desperately need growth to make up the shortfall and to support an increasingly aging population.

It was a big experiment. Everyone's life got worse, exactly as the Remainers predicted.

The country is barely governable and has declined massively since before the referendum.

People who are particularly dumb don't understand the consequences of their actions. There is no amount of reason or statistics that will make these people look in the mirror and seriously contemplate: "What if I was wrong?"

For the sane, there is a growing movement to try and reverse the damage that was done.

For the rest, it's like pigs enjoying rolling around in their own sh*t - except actually you all seem bloody miserable, yet you still keep rolling and asking for more sh*t (Reform) because being duped once by grifters wasn't enough.

This is a textbook example of how people were completely duped.

Google "the Dublin Regulation". That was the EU law stating that the first EU country an asylum seeker enters is responsible for handling their claim. Because of that agreement, the UK had the legal right to return thousands of asylum seekers back to EU countries.

When we voted for Brexit, we chose to leave that agreement.

Before Brexit, there was far less incentive for people to risk crossing the Channel in small boats, because they knew they could just be legally sent back to France or their first point of entry. Now that we've left, France has absolutely no legal obligation or incentive to take anyone back. That is exactly why the small boats crisis skyrocketed after 2020 - go look at the official statistics.

Being in the EU gave us the power of collective agreements. We threw that power away, and now you have the nerve to complain that France isn't doing our border control for us. Why should they? We lost all our negotiating leverage. You are completely oblivious to the many ways your vote made us WEAK.

If the shoe were on the other foot, you lot would be absolutely furious if the UK was expected to spend its own taxpayers' money to stop migrants leaving our shores just to please France. You voted to lose our deportation powers, and now you're angry about the exact consequences of your own choice.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Zero ability to accept you might have been wrong, just all stick your head in the sand and keep telling yourself it was a good idea as the country falls to bits around you.

This is a classic example of remainders being completely duped. They believed anything.
