Martin O?Neill seems to adopt the view that two wrongs make a right.
His Celtic supporters have run onto the pitch three times in the past two months with nothing being done about it.
Normal Scottish Football clubs supporters apart from the Dabs wait until the final whistle has been blown before running onto the pitch which often happens after the end of last home game of a season.
Dundee FC supporters did not run onto the Dens Park pitch when Craig Wighton scored the winning goal in the Doon Derby on 2nd May 2016.
I generally think it's best that celebrations stay in the stands rather than on the park. It allows everyone to celebrate and allows the players to have a lap of honour if appropriate etc. I was at Muirton in 1962 as a young lad with my father but didn't go on the park at the end (probably because my father wouldn't let me). In 60+ years of watching Dundee from Dens to Hampden to Perugia to all points in Scotland I have never set foot on the park apart from once. So before I get high and mighty about it I confess to being on the hallowed turf at Dens at the end of one game the European tie v Cologne #2. I managed to stay on the terracing at the end of the 8-1 win in 1962, still a young lad but as a late teenager in 1971 I ended up on the park after the great late comeback against Cologne hugging Biffo and cavorting about like a looney. The circumstances of that game, I reckon, makes it understandable.
