Rose & Crown I think is now someone's house lol
When I lived there one of the local bus companies put on a double decker bus that collected Derby fans from all the surrounding villages for their home games.
I got on it for our match when Mike Pollitt got sent off for handling inside his area. Kinkladze scored the resulting free kick.
Derby fans were talking the mickey on the way there saying we'd only bring 500. I said well you'll better move over a bit behind the goal because we've sold 5000 tickets
Quite a lot of trouble outside the ground

That Pollitt incident. The incident was played on “Rams TV” in the concourse, it was clear that Polly hadn’t handled the ball outside the area. As retribution some of our finer fans smashed up the gents toilet.

Gm gm. Ah ok. I used to work on Pride Park, about 400 yards from the footie ground. I used to go home via the Wyvern but the road works resulting from the project were never ending and it frequently took me the best part of half an hour to get off the estate. Worked in Derby for nearly 30 years and took the step to move down in 2009. Now packed in but still live here & love it.

I remember going to that game, we lost badly that day, obviously Mike going off and them scoring the free kick didn't help. We actually finished above Derby that season, 2002/03.

Back to yesterday it a 8 out of 10 performance. Blackman alot better. Defence solid. Harding surprised me that's how I want it playing left wing back, he can cross with his left foot. Midfield all contributed. Smudger same.

So Paul is the hero this week, not the villain. A great result, even according to the Posh fan on Talksport.
A tough game against Stoke next. Win that we are on a 'roll'.

back to back wins would come in very useful and another confidence boost.

What a shame,we spoilt the party.Yesterday before the match Sky,BBC and all the other national media were all over Rooney like a rash. All the top "pundits" were saying he will do a good job and it was the next stepping stone in his football career.Taken for granted he would get his first managerial win under his belt against us.Well done Warney.
