Winning ugly.....something Stockport and Wrexham have done plenty of times to get out of this league.

Bass and Platt were brilliant. Macari and Bedeau steady. Didzy the difference! I'll take it...and more. Playing OK and winning away is a very good sign!

Well done Stuart and the lads.

Great win today, took our chances and defended with grit and determination. Well done Notts, Stuart and most importantly Didzy

That will do for me today.

3 points when not playing well, a couple of points off the top which I am more than happy with.

Really pleased for Didzy but even more for Stuart Maynard - held his head up under pressure - I'm sure there's a great head-coach there.

CBP must be feeling sick tonight… our paper thin squad picks up a massive 3 points on the road without the only decent forward at the club. That non League 1 side who we drew with smashed Orient 3-0, who don’t forget smashed Millwall who in turn have won big today.

We weathered a storm and the defence held firm. Stall summing it up perfectly ‘Notts would have lost that last season’. Surely we can see enough to know that we have a squad that will fight for the shirt and play when possible. Or is it too early still?

Notts undefeated. Back to ML next Saturday.

Early days, but it's a really good sign. Our defence didn't crumble under pressure, and the quality we have up front gives us a chance even when we're not in control of the game. Showed resilience by coming from a goal down, and it means we've now had a reasonably good start overall, which was critical for the Head Coach. Maynard didn't come into this season with a lot of credit in hand, but results like this will help him.
What was interesting compared to last season was not just that we didn't ever look like caving, but that we managed the game through to the end in a cool and calm fashion.

Last season we would've had 4 or 5 players doing something to show everyone 'HEY LOOK AT ME, I'M DOING GAME MANAGEMENT' like taking forever over a throw in or goal kick and getting carded for it, which actually just showed how scared we were.

Today we came under a lot of pressure but saw the game out intelligently.

It’s easy to forget, but we had games like today in the NL the year we went up - Woking away springs to mind, plus Yeovil and Torquay. Winning games like this with individual moments of brilliance and a desire to win throughout the team is what it’s all about - well done boys. COYP!
