Even 4 weeks is another 4 games that we could potentially win if we have the correct personnel, and the ability to create goal scoring chances, which I don't think we have right now. If we wait another 4 weeks, that's potentially 12 points chucked away, based on the performance at Rugby Park.
Think like usual some off our supporters getting carried away.PT_Arab wants us to make signings then win our next 4 games.Who are these signings I understand some supporters know much better than our manager and owners etc how to run a football club.So we play rancid next at ipox who are we going to sign to beat them?Where are we going to get money to buy players to beat rancids multi million pound team?If MM is looking at players who are bit better than we can afford and hoping to get them on cheap fair play don't try don't get.Think he could make 4 or 5 signings tomorrow but we need players that can do a job and better players are harder to get.We wanted to sign some players that went to hibs and sheep think they probably have more money than us as been playing in higher league and have a bigger supports than us.
Well, that's a very black & white way of looking at it.
No, I don't expect us to go and win at Ibrox, even if we had Shankland back in the team along with two or three new signings.
My point is, that people keep saying that the transfer window is open for longer and we have plenty of time. I disagree - every game that passes us by with the current squad and all of it's weaknesses is an opportunity missed in terms of picking up valuable points. A single point against 10 man St Johnstone could and maybe should have been 3 points if we had created more chances. A point could have been taken against Hibs if we had created ANY chances. A point or even three could have been had at Rugby Park but we have nothing up front.
Since the manager signed and our Premier League status was confirmed, almost all the other clubs in the league have made signings and continue to do so. Some of these players were of interest to us, whether that be just opinions on here or our club actually stating an interest. A lot of these clubs already have established premier league squads but are strengthening further. We have a championship squad but have done next to nothing. A youth goal keeper, a winger on loan and a right back who got injured after half an hour.
By the time the transfer window closes, that's quarter of the season gone (roughly)
Also worth mentioning that any new signings might take two or three games to settle in to the team. Not to mention they might not be match fit with other leagues not playing at the moment.

PT_Arab I agree we need some new faces in and think people running club also know this.We need to get right people in though no point just making signings for signings sake.We have made attemps to sign players MM wants but they have not come of we will still be looking but getting decent players takes time sometimes.Players that have went to Hibs,Aberdeen etc instead of us perhaps for money reasons or maybe just because they preferred going there.
I've already acknowledged both your points when I said 'even with everything else going on'. Two signings in two months. Its not a great amount. Again, like I've already said, let's hope it's going to get better (personnel wise). I'm sure it will, but someone needs a bit of a reality check as we're not going to be able to sign guys who are currently on £8k a week and others with a £675,000 release clause. Hopefully we weren't putting all our eggs in two baskets trying to sign the unsignable.
