I am more than happy to do that. It was the solution suggested by you and it was a really good idea. That way those who are bothered can read it, and those who aren't bothered can ignore it. It works for everyone.

It only works however if "all of the usual suspects" heed your advice. Unfortunately, one of the usual suspects, probably the main suspect, is openly sticking two fingers up to your advice.

You probably don't know this but he quickly took your place whilst you were "having a break". I thought it was a little disrespectful tbh he jumped into your grave almost the moment you left your post. Don't worry he's not quite at your level although equally subservient.

    Down boy
One for you ancient pie ,
As you can see Laddo is trying really hard not to go off topic and cause arguments, I mean why would he mention me in his argument that he's been taking of topic for about ten pages.
I believe his argument is with himself EP and Navy at the moment and I think Gump is getting a name check as well.
I've not even said one word on the matter in hand , but I still get centre stage in his posts ?
it seems the saviour of this board isn't so virtuous after all but I'm sure we will get I'm not answering His mantra , " I'm not posting on this thread anymore for the good of the board" even though he's been arguing for hours on it followed by the "PM me, people don't want to see you arguing and ruining the board " again even though he's the one arguing and taking stuff off topic !
just a thought or should I say in the speak of Laddo

I didn't see you say that to Laddo when he bought me into the argument in which I was not involved In?
I'm afraid I cant let him go today , he dropped a massive lie on the board again about me , and sailed of into the distance. Yet it seems when I say anything about him you question myself but ignore the Messiah, any particular reason for this ?
I will show you the post that is argumentative if you wish , but I suspect you have already seen it ,but as I say you just seem to ignore his passive aggressive attacks which is fine by me but why not give me the same grace. Especially when all I'm doing is asking a valid question I suppose you think I'm being provocative although I cant see why ?

All of you are equally guilty of this tedious drivel. You're not being victimised or singled out for special treatment Pedro. Regarding your last sentence, of course you can see why as you are not an actual idiot.

However, I think there's some truth in what you say, in that we shouldn't necessarily be using that data to identify the silkiest, most technical footballers, but instead the most aggressive, athletic, physical competitors who are equipped for football in the English lower leagues. Presumably, the data from Football Radar can be used to identify whatever type of player and personality you wish, but maybe so far we've been a bit idealistic about the football we eventually want to play, rather than picking horses for courses.

I must admit, there have been several occasions when I've watched Notts under Ardley and so far under the new coach where I've longed to see more of the 'smash-mouth' football we used to play under Warnock and Allardyce. It wasn't as "long-ball" as some observers used to claim, because we did play football mostly in the opponents' half, but it was based on getting the ball into the opponents' penalty area as fast and as often as possible, effectively laying siege on their goal and pressuring and battering them into submission rather than seeking to play nice patterns around them. And when you've got players as fast as Lewis Knight and Jimmy Knowles, why wouldn't you release them down the channels and into the area early, because most defenders at this level are very slow?

When managers across the river have tried to introduce more direct tactics, Nottingham Forest fans have sometimes admonished them with the song "We're Nottingham Forest, we play on the floor!", because that is their identity as a team. Well, over here at Meadow Lane, at least in the post-Sirrell era, our "identity" in our best years has been "We're Notts County, prepare to be bombarded and kicked off the park if necessary!". And when it's done right, it can be strangely satisfying and quite entertaining!
    Good post.

    Ha!

Trust me, my credibility with the players would be zero after about one minute on the training pitch demonstrating my "skills". And as for "show us yer medals", I've got a 100 metre swimming badge and the odd snooker trophy, but nothing else!

I was the kid at school with two left feet who always got picked last by the team captains (for any sport!) so I gave up in the end and stood on the sidelines pretending to be a commentator. Come to think of it, 30 years later nothing has changed!

Jackal has been on fire for some time now. Impossible to ignore. Wheat amongst the chaff.
