So you think this thread is ruined because I don't use, post on or view the now deceased Handbags thread? You may want to read back through the start of this thread to see the real reason. It really isn't difficult to spot, at least most of the debates are football well Ardley (shock, horror) related#usualsuspects followed by your usual #fanclub contribution aimed in my direction as is your norm.

That's interesting so you aren't keen, but can't stop anyone using them. You have then spent months and months and months asking me to stop using silly nicknames because they were disrespectful. Lost count of the number of times you mentioned it. Yet never asked anyone else using nicknames or even worse plain insults to stop. Not once! Funny that lol. If you can't stop anyone using them then why do it repeatedly in the past?

That'll be a prime example of that rank hypocrisy you are referring too.

Yes, this thread and many others have been ruined because the mod's advice wasn't heeded, not just by you but mainly by you.
Here are four FACTS. They are not opinions or lies, they are cold, hard FACTS:

FACT 1 - the moderator received complaints from some posters saying threads were being ruined by petty arguments. The moderator decided to set up a specific thread for petty arguments, and asked all those involved to take them there so those who were fed up of them didn't have to read them.

FACT 2 - laddo ignored the moderator and said he would never post on the thread.

FACT 3 - laddo claims he only wants to discuss Notts County and football.

FACT 4 - laddo said he enjoys making other posters look silly.

I'm sure you won't dispute anything there, so read it again and think about it.

Yaaaaawn. I've told you at least a dozen times that the reason I single you out and nobody else is that you claim to be on a 'mission' to improve the board, and nobody else has made that claim. That's why I treat your rank hypocrisy differently to others.

Just what part of that are you still struggling to comprehend?

That's why 'DavyFacts' is without doubt my favourite nickname because it's not childish or insulting it's just accurate.

Is this obsession with Ardley (and you can't call it anything else since he gets brought up in Every. Single. Thread.) all about having someone you can blame on the relegation? One name to pin it all on?

We got relegated because we sucked. Notts County were relegated because we played bad football. All three managers and every player we had on the team that season produced poor results. Hardy's softy was a better performer.

Nolan, who I thought was a very promising manager produced poor results.

Kewell, who I think is a very promising manager produced poor results.

Ardley who at the time was a very experienced manager who routinely got better results out of what were supposed to be worse teams... produced poor results.

There was a lot wrong at the club. There's a lot more to it than ITS ALL ARDLEYS FAULT WAAAAHHHH!!!!!11

Letting that season cloud your judgement about the two seasons since is illogical. Understandable perhaps, but it has no basis in logic, no stats to back it up. We were solidly in the playoff spots for the second year running when he was sacked. I'm delighted IB's got the team on a run of good form, and sincerely hope he is a much better manager than Ardley.

But calling Ardley a bad manager... the statistics just don't back it up. You don't like him? I heard you the five-thousandth time. You don't like his tactics? I've heard that too. A lot. He's gone. Feel free to stop bringing him up any time now...

^This waffle s just you performing a series of awkward acrobatics to save face.

he was sacked, We were right, you were wrong.

You can go on and on trying to defend him in an effort to convince yourself that you were right about him all along, but it'll be you that ends up more deluded than you already are, It'll have zero effect on people with a grasp on the reality of the situation.

Unfortunately, we're all still having to live with the consequences of his tenure so he continues to cast a very dark shadow over the place. Hopefully not for much longer. Then we can forget about him, though sadly I suspect the likes of you will want to give him credit for somebody else's success and this **** show will continue.

My judgement that Ardley was the wrong manager for us is based on his whole time in charge, from his very first game to his last. From a very early stage, I didn't think he was getting the most from his squad. We played sterile, frightened, safety-first football and wasted much of the attacking talent we had. Forget what the stats say in this case, just look at the way his teams performed.

Being realistic, last pre season he stayed with us when we were not sure NCFC would still exist. He did build a squad in double quick time that got us to the final, that should not be ignored, so i am still happy with that effort. This season he got us into a playoff place but I don't think it was a convincing performance and I very much doubt we would have been promoted under him. That said I think we have now got the right manager at the right time and if we had got rid earlier we could have ended up with another mediocre replacement. Think the Reedtz brothers probably had IB on radar and made their move when the opportunity arrived, if so that is to their great credit.
