    Same problems

    1) No physical presence in midfield.
    2) No decent backup striker for Wootton who for whatever reason can’t play away. I’d have dropped him today.
I wouldn't say we've actually made any progress since Ardley left. While some of the performances, especially at home, have been great, we're once again:

-Outside the playoffs a good way into the season
-A long distance off the top, having to rely on winning games in hand to even close the gap slightly
-Unable to play at anywhere near a decent level any from home
-Unable to drop players when they're out of form as we don't have anywhere near enough depth in key positions (i.e striker, holding midfield etc)

And on top of all that, we now seem completely incapable of keep clean sheets, even when we've got 5 defenders on the pitch.

If Burchnall doesn't buck his ideas up and start to tackle these issues, which honestly I'm gradually losing confidence in him to do so, it'll be just another season of playoff mediocrity, alarmingly reminiscent of last season.

Burchnall is doing the job he's been brought in to do - Coach the team he's been given. He might claim otherwise, but I very much doubt he will have as much say in who comes in and who goes out as most other managers do.

There might be a good sound reason why we are having to do this "on the cheap" (compared to at least three other teams in this league), but I' far from convinced yet that we're better off with these owners than what Wrexham and Stockport have.
I'm perfectly happy with the current owners. The reason we are in this league to begin with is because of the boom and bust approach of past owners. Mostly bust. The only disappointments we have these days are occasional bad results, not Court cases and winding up orders.

This is why we needed 3 points at Stones.

Actually, something is definitely wrong - either the style of play or the players just not buying in to it? - whatever the issue, it needs to be sorted or we are destined to be a non-league team for the foreseeable!

This would be the first pair of blanks on the score sheet for Notts this season.

Losing all 3 fixtures we've ever played at Bromley would be pretty depressing.
