Yeah can't disagree with that. Still an incredibly frustrating statistic though and I'd have to say that tactics need changing and the manager has to react quicker and use his bench better, weak though it is. The young lad Moore was tremendous at ibrox, hasn't been on the park since. Cudjoe looked like he at least had something about him and hasn't been on the park since. MaCleod can't even get on the bench recently but has been banging goals in for the under 18s, I'd like to see these players getting their chance instead of the same tired subs, what's the point of all these youngsters on the bench if Tam has no intention of playing them?

Dave Bowman a creative force? Hmmm, not really what I remember about him to be honest. 🤔

I did not say he was a creative force and well you know it! Bow was however more creative than Harkes will ever be, and if we want to continue to improve, we need better than the likes of Harkes.

Totally baffling why Bow has been brought into this at all as most of the current shower of skite would not get into the teams that Bow was in!

I love Bow and all them as much as anyone but he wasn't more creative or technical than Harkes, never seen him put through balls like the one Harkes did for one of McNultys many misses a or the one for Shankland last season at home v Livi, different era, you need a guy like Harkes these days, has the athleticism teams needed now, especially as its lacking in Scotland in style teams, has enough passing and shooting ability and can be box to box, doesn't give opponents time either, would be better for the club if we could get him to stay as our team and squad will be the worse for it

Have fans blanked out the utter awfulness that was 1998-2006, Harkes (and Butcher for that matter) is way better than most midfielders we had during those years, apart from the odd exception (Charlie Miller etc)

Way above say a Craig Easton for example, who I liked but still...

Butcher is better than most centre banks we had during the time aswell and despite recent errors Benji is better than Gallagher and Combe, and lightyears better than Bullock and Stillie

The only guys from the era I'd take more the were with us due a wee while are more attacking ones, Charlie, Mac90, Robson and Scotland, plus prime Wilson as an attacking right back

This team gets stick but they aren't failing is the way those over paid lot were before Levein came in and turned the club upside down

I'd rather have Chalmers than Harkes especially now he's had a run of games

if we are to get better we need to get rid of the championship players we have - Clarke, Harkes etc

A lot of truth in that, for sure. I was using him as an example of the need for different players with different skills to make up a midfield. I was in no way comparing him with Harkes or any others in our current squad.
