Think it’s more the case that not all fans held him totally responsible for the relegation and he gave us a bit of dignity back through a tough transitional period and nearly got us straight back up and from outside in seemed to dedicate himself to the club.

Disappointed for him that it hasn't worked out.
I think we left it too late and he was all that was left, Chesterfield must have been laughing all the way to the bank when we offered cash for him. The striker problem was there when we lost Wes Thomas and kristian Dennis and should have been taken more seriously. Thankfully this season we got our act together and it’s paying off.

I was one of the fans that did hold NA responsible for relegation, he should have been able to better macclesfield coming in 7 points above them
But after that , he was loyal to the club, was sacked at a strange time when he should have been given another crack at the play offs, actually NA been quite unlucky, 2 play off final loses in the NL.
My stance has somewhat changed on him as time has gone on , a decent loyal man, i wish him well, as long as its not against us

I don’t think Ardley was unlucky with the Notts play off final. Rawlinson and Lacey had formed a great understanding at the back but he brought in Turner for the play offs. Nothing against Turner, but he had an absolute mare against Harrogate. Notts were very poor that day and the manager looked on helplessly, hands in pocket. I saw nothing motivational from him at all!

We point the finger at the then manager, and many of the players who played

Ultimately we were outplayed by a very impressive Harrogate side who turned up and were firing on all cylinders from the off.

We know IB doesn't instil a clutch mentality in his teams. Remember how we went out of both cups last season, the Halifax debacle, the nature of the play-off defeats? Having nice training sessions won't help you when the chips are down

Could be popcorn time on their forum when they get home. Not much worse in football than leading for virtually the whole game and then collapsing at the end.
