Almost 8 years ago John Nelms knew the powers that the A shares held which FPS had agreed to prior to them purchasing a majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited in August 2013.
Seems to me the approach by John Nelms was well intentioned. Dee4life could decide not to try to have their A shares rights enforced.
The decision was not what he wanted, so there will have to be another way forward.
No stadium plan should mean an alternative strategy.
I think the A shares might be portrayed as a millstone round possible future plans. So perhaps they are not as useful as you think? I dont know if they are effective, but I worry that they might be, and somehow cause problems for our club.

If you had been present at the Dee4life SGM on Saturday 28th February 2026 you would have heard that Supporters Direct think that Dee4life are very fortunate to have all the entrenched rights they have in their A shares. Most Football clubs supporters groups in Scotland have few entrenched rights or none at all.
The Dundee United FC supporters have no entrenched rights which means that they cannot block Dundee United Football Club ground sharing at another football ground, merging with another football club or changing their team’s colours.
The Dundee United FC supporters can only vote with their feet.
