If that had been scored in the Premiership it would be trending worldwide. Unlike his cross that went in, I think he actually meant it. Even though it was in the centre of the goal, it was too quick for their keeper to react. It was instinctive natural talent that he's often looked capable of. The problem is that he's also capable of impersonating Ricky Green's less talented twin, like he did in the first half!

I'd like to see Fireman Sam or Hector Sam score a goal like that!

If you've not seen the goal anything said about it so far has been an understatement 😃

We need a name for the 'technique' used when Sam scored.

    Sam missile?

Much better second half - thank goodness. Two excellent goals from Sam (including an absolute belter) and decent performances from Miller and Knowles. I also liked the look of Golden, before his injury, and thought Wolfe showed promise.
Unfortunately, for the second week running, we haven’t performed in the first half and have therefore been chasing the game in the second. We got away with it today but Chesterfield showed us last week what will happen if we only play for 45 minutes and go behind in the game when we’re struggling to score goals.
This system of passing it around at the back just isn’t working when the opposition press us high, which we can expect every match now. God help us if we try it for all these away matches on tight pitches and dodgy surfaces. Not forgetting the long grass!!
