Actually starting to think this cup is working for us now in it being a great opportunity to get minutes into players needing them without playing them in the league with no prep.

Anyone know why Cal isn't playing? Niggling thigh again?
Also just listening to radio commentary and saying no matter how good these players perform they Ardley will never pick them for a league unless forced too by injury. I hope that isn't the case or that really is a sorry state of affairs at our club!

Ardley did say in his pre Oxford interview, that Cal was feeling stiff/sore after his 20mins or so against Stockpot. That could well be why. Originally Posted by Warnocks Legends

I mentioned last season that saying things like the above is a cause for concern, and also leads to unrest as the players know they will never get a decent shot at a starting place, so what is the point in trying. Originally Posted by Warnocks Legends
This doesn't surprise me in the slightest as this has been the case for the past two seasons. If you are not one of the chosen few, then you will never get a start, unless it is in a mickey mouse competition, no matter how good you perform. I would bet that most of these players starting today will not get a place if we make the final.
