Let’s be right D&R aren’t a good side we beat them 5.0 at their place, just that we got them after the manager was sacked which they put far more effort in either In support of him or defiance against him but they haven’t had the quality or inclination to be able to do it again.
Nope… I think Notts will have the home advantage and I just think that we’re far better than any of the teams in this league, bar Wrexham… who are unstoppable in my view. If Notts cut out the stupid mistakes, then I think we’ll be in Div 2 with Wrexham next season. We’re second for a reason and that’s because we are better than every other team.
My only concern is Cheaterfurlough… any game in the playoffs will be like a cup final for them… particularly against us!
It was on them too last Sat and they were poor. When we drew a couple a month or so ago we were under pressure in losing touch but went on to win 4 away games which no one thought we would.
The situation now for them is very different, their top with 10 to go, it’s a huge amount of pressure and especially with the tv stuff too, they’ve done very well tonight but still a long way to go.

I fully expect to lose to a resurgent Chesterfield at Wembley, because the last 18 years of supporting Notts have led me to expect nothing but the worst.
Just trust us to have statistically our best season ever, only to come up against some Hollywood actors with a strange fascination with North Wales of all places, typical Notts.
A Chesterfield semi final at meadow Lane will sound like a home game for them 😞
I wouldn't go that far. If we actually turn up and put in a display the occasion deserves, I'm sure the Notts faithful will be vocal, just like we were against wrexham back in October and for the last 20 minutes against Chesterfield in August.
Plus with Forest's season probably being over by then, im sure a few of them will be able to help us out for the good of Nottingham, as they always claim to do whenever we get over 10k
From a 'fans' perspective; it now actually feels a little bit less stressfull - don't take that the wrong way - still dead hard, but before, those GIH, they seemed to weigh on us even more. Now they're out of the way, they're done with. Before that, it was just 'assumed' we'd win them...we know different though...but now we have got them out of the way (apart from the 'actual' GIH against Yeovil in April...), it just seems like it's a straight fight to the end....![]()
Nah, only be a one match ban.
Having seen Dagenham a couple of weeks ago I had very little faith in them getting anything tonight. Think they were pretty much as bad against us, just 1000x more fortunate. Way it goes sometimes.
If you’re looking for somewhere Wxm are likely to drop points outside of the game against us, I’d be looking at Southend (know we hammered them, but decent side), Bromley (hideous place to go), Barnet (erratic but dangerous) and Boreham Wood (always tricky and on the charge, unbeaten in 14 or something). Maybe even Oldham who have improved to the extent a late push for seventh isn’t completely out of the question.
As we saw against Dagenham, though, sometimes you can play very average opposition, perform well, and still lose. That’s what makes football what it is. Still very much game on, objective one is to get to the Racecourse with the lead no bigger than it is now.
