    Fireworks time now Brin.

150 in front will do and we have a great chance of making the Oval all square 🤗

Frog, my thoughts would be to be pushing for 200+ before considering declaring. It's only day three tomorrow and there's some very bad weather coming up at the weekend. I'd hate it to be a draw and they retain the ashes.

After the dismissal of Root I think Wood is going to have a great second innings.

Books and Stokes along with the batters (because we can no longer say batsmen) that are yet to come in will knock another 150 before lunch.

    Game on!

I reckon another 100 in the morning session and then hope that we have sufficient rain-free time in the remaining 2.5 days to skittle out the Aussies. It would really be a crying shame if the series didn't come down to the final test at the Oval and, if it did, England will certainly be in the ascendancy!!

COME ON ENGLAND!!! Flying today...having batted and ended on 592 all out with Bairstow on 99 when Wood was caught, shame for Bairstow.

Aussies currently on 61 -2 so 214 runs behind! Smith was almost out then but he got the benefit of the doubt.

England in a commanding lead but they've got to get as many wickets as possible as it will be a poor day tomorrow cos of the weather.

Closed with the Aussies on 113-4. Excellent bowling from Wood 3-17 and Woakes taking the other 1-18. Aussies trail by 162 runs.

I feel only the WEATHER, (take note Geets, Frog and Glenn ) will now save the Aussies. There's bound to be almost a full day lost so, fingers crossed more damage can be caused when it's okay for play to resume. I feel with what we've piled on in runs, it may well be enough to see them all bowled out without us having to bat again. Shame we couldn't see it all off today.

Can you imagine the rain saving them and it's a draw and we win the last game at Lords so they retain the Ashes? Grrr......

I agree with all you say Brin er - apart from
Bairstow was on 99 when Anderson (not Wood) was lbw (not caught) Wood himself was clean bowled (not caught)
The final test is at the Oval (not Lords)
Other than that - spot on 😂😂
