Stop saying it then or you'll do yourself a mischief.
What's it got to do with his contract situation anyway?

No, once you point at his flawed logic he shifts the point elsewhere, like one of the other trolls on here.

And - if I agreed with that, which I don't - might it just be that he has been treated like **** by us... as usual?

Are you kidding? I personally suspect you of being his left *******. Or maybe Mrs Evans? Whatever way, you are stirring up more anti-Evans feeling than anyone with your Mine Furhrer defences which frankly are toe-curling and rather pathetic.

I defy anyone to describe anything that resembles even a medium term strategy.

Grumpy, I understand your point but the club doesn't own the stadium so you could conclude it was built as a means to protect any financial contributions made by the chairman.

There is a kind of dark hilarity to the idea that decades from now Rotherham are playing at another stadium whilst Millmoor, NYS and one or two other previously rented stadia sit rotting.

Charlie Brooker can pay me a fee if that premise ever plays out in Black Mirror.

You can understand that the owners used the stadium in a way to protect the money they have put into the club, they have earned their wealth and have a right to use it how they see fit. I would hope that there is something contractual in place that protects all parties in some way, but my gut feel is that if the Stewarts want to, they could screw the club over in some way.

It is the same as the squad investment this year. A huge cut in playing staff and the using of the transfer fees to minimise the impact of relegation are understandable, in that they protect the owners and the club financially. What is questionable is to then pretend that hasn't happened, exacerbated by a statement in a public forum about how very good the squad budget was as well as comments about reinvesting of money raised via transfers into the squad. I hope that TS realises now that SE might give his best to get the most out of the actual budget, but we may have gone too far with the prudent approach.
There is a lot that we don't know so we can only speculate based on what we are told.

There isn't a 'club' that is a separate entity to that which Stewart owns. If he decides to jack it in and put social housing on the NYS site then there's bugga all left and nothing you or I could do.
