Just shows how inconsistent we are to play like we did and score 5 with “champagne football” and then the usual Notts defending today and we’re well beaten.

Stone has been having some off field problems. With Slocombe out, we should have gone the emergency keeper route. Brookes might actually save some shots but his distribution is awful, a new keeper is a must but having 4 keepers on the books is excessive

... we need: a new goal keeper; 2 fullbacks; a real leader .. ie., Brindley to go; Cameron to go. Crowley to get his act together.
    ANGRY.

Unfortunately as the game entered stoppage time my mate here with me said you guys still have 6 minutes to rescue it... I actually bet him we would let in another one and just won a 10 quid bet... not proud of that but we were simply hopeless in that second half... never ever looked like scoring and always looked like letting in a bag full, LW you simply need to sort this out... horrible birthday present for me 😞

Not an issue at present. We're not ready to go up yet. Our results away from home are demonstrating that.

We're in the middle of a learning and recruitment process in a new division. If we have a really good transfer window in January we might reach the play-offs and take our chances, but it's far more important to ensure we're ready for the next level before we go there, even if it takes time.

Forest Green are demonstrating what happens if you're not ready to take the step up.

Stags get a 2nd against Stockport. That's some result for them.

Yep. Can't argue with any of that. We're too inconsistent at L2 level so going up to L1 would be a step too far in my opinion.

I said on a different thread that Tranny was the game I was concerned about over the festive period. They're in great form and an established L2 side.

I'd be happy with a top half finish or playoffs.
The PO's would give us a good experience at this level as to what's required, even if we don't go up in that manner.
