Thankyou
Such sad news. Condolences to everyone.
Certainly been a tough month for you and yours, Sith. Hang on in there. Sure things will change for the better soon.
It's been rough.
In other less serious news but very much pray for me..
My wife and I have a winter sun break to Cape Verde in December.
Because of all the crap my SIL is going through she asked if she could come too, with MIL too.
So 4 of us going now.
I only say pray for me jokingly, I love em to bits, however I might have to find a bar stool to occupy occasionally for a little peace and quiet.
I'm sure you'll be able to find a bingo session for them most days
Which Island, Sal? We were there a few years ago. Really enjoyed it. If you look to do any tours, look up a lad called Sal (Sal Tours), he's local and very knowledgeable.
Yes going to Sal.
This will be our 3rd visit to Sal. We did a full island tour last time, as you know not really lots to see though wouldn't mind quad bikes. Will have a look if your recommendation does them.
We have done boa vista, I think, 6 times before. Not much to see there either. For me it's a winter sun destination, shortish flight and good weather.
Back at work tomorrow, over 5 weeks since I was last there.
Dr's have given me a might be fit to work note subject to adjusted hours.
My line manager has said will ease me in, stay off teams, don't advertise I'm back for a few days.
Reckon my inbox will take me a week to organize.
Fit enough to ease back into work is good news. Chuffed for you.
Will be interesting to see how tomorrow goes. I have a new line manager, which isn't ideal given my circumstances, but noises today they feel I should be back to full time despite my fit note saying I might be fit to work subject to adjusted hours and that's date till the end September. I've found this week harder than I expected and am limping to the weekend, which I've told my outgoing line manager.
New line manager wants to discuss with me tomorrow.
If medical advice is to ease your way in, then that is exactly what you should do. In the unlikely case your new line manager is a qualified medical doctor, you should listen to him, however, as he almost certainly isn't, I'd follow the medical advice you've been given. If the newbie decides that's a sacking offence, you've got a great case for an unlawful dismissal suit.
