McGowan was booked in the 70th min of the Dundee v Hibs match and he then celebrated as much with the home fans, his equalizer. If the guidance is to punish over exuberant celebrations, then why was he not awarded a second yellow? Consistency is one of the issues here; therefore Pawlett should have at least one of his cards rescinded, even though admittedly he got away with the Booth one. How Rooney managed avoid a red is strange mentioned at least 4 times for bad fouls!

This rate has to be maintained going forward. Even McN got pass marks but FFS Pawlett. Yes he scored but wouldn't even get half marks for his diving.
Pawlett put a hell of a shift in, scored the winner and fell victim to an over officious referee FFS

Michael Antonio of west ham was running around the track holding aloft a cardboard ****ing cut out of himself after scoring last night, which he then casually chucked aside, didn't see him getting a yellow though.

Pawlett ran his heart out. aye it came back to haunt him but only because of that tackle on Booth and the reaction of st js players - hypocritical tw@ts. He was def clipped and i think if we can appeal it we will.

As for the ref some strange stuff but yes he was over officious he kept explaining and apologising to Pawlett whilst booking him for first - I thought that was decent. But he could of just ignored it tbh. 18 months of no fans have a wee bit of a chill.

That Neymar fella does OK out of it 😉

Pawlett is hardly unique in this situation, players at all levels do it. Sometimes they get away with it and sometimes they don't. This time around he did get clipped so it wasn't a booking and should be successfully appealed in my opinion.

PP is much improved, definitely fitter. Ironically he's is at his best when running fast at defenders, always going to draw fouls.
With Fuchs and Levitt beside him I think we'll keep getting a good 60 minutes from him if he can stay fit.

Disagree. He's renowned for diving. Yes it happens elsewhere but how many players have a reputation for it? Pawlett certainly does. He may well have got clipped, although still not conclusive, but the clip didn't bring him down. It was the fact he carried on his run then went for the old swan dive. He only has himself to blame.

Agreed. He's been decent. His biggest failing has been his end product. He makes these great driving runs but nothing comes of them. Work on that and he can be a great asset to the team.

There is absolutely no doubt about it PP is, and always had been, a diving *******. 🙂 In fairness to him, he does run at a fair lick right at defenders so gets clipped and caught a lot. Conway was exactly the same BTW...
