Hehe - they’ve spent loads but then so did Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool before them.

If they have the money and can fund it then so be it 😎

Overall concensus was that we where the better team and they got away with a point only due to our keeper.[No **** Sherlock]

pretty much the same opinions as on here

they also seemed to think if they end up within 10 points of us come seasons end they will have had a very good season.

And we Willy is too good for the championship

They also acknowledged the number of players we sold and our injury list when conceding that we where STILL the better team - and that was from THEIR fans

We seem to have a few very fickle ones over here.
    Bang on Tichi.

For a few years i went to our games & did the stats designated - so formations are an interest to me & show how Farke has tweaked us this season.
What i've noted, seen & been told from the guys who still do the stats work tells me we're on the right track with the 'players available'.

I know how Sunderland Coach Régis Le Bris sets up his teams as he was Coach at Lorient, Head Coach at the successful Rennes Academy & coached my brother at National junior levels.
His philosophy is simple & has not changed !
No mug & has created exciting times at Sunderland using raw talented kids.

1.Stats suggest Sunderland clearly dont move the ball around into advanced areas much.

2.They have fewer pass attempts into the final third than most Championship teams.

3.They dont move forward at a constant pace so their attacks alternate via quick or slow build ups.

4.They move it around close to goal starting with a 4-2-3-1 drifting into a neat 4-3-3.

5.They organise themselves in fluid triangles in their build up in every game played so far.

6.This attracts the opposition out & opens up space for them to exploit.

7.They often move their attacking deployment backwards to allow more off ball movements.

8.This allows their full backs to make underlapping runs & these "off the ball
movements" are key to their success when they get into the final third attack zone usually assisted by a third man runner coming from deep to finish off the move.

9.The draw back to their chosen formation is they can lose the ball close to their own goal & can get hit on the transition.

10.Leeds set up to play patiently for such a "transition moment" - with effect. 👍

This is what Farkes is trying to do & you can see its implementation each week via our stats for how we transition a turnover opportunity.
Start slow in possession & then accelerate as we move upfield.

Maybe boring at times but its getting results !

Good possession football played by young players with layered skill sets hopefully will produce more entertaining football - we are getting their & that's why i am more positive on here than some.

I think we've torn the arse out of this one. (Like the rev on a night out)
    Lets pick another .

Hmmm you do like to refer to that anatomical region a lot (ponders what that could subliminally mean) 🤔🤣
