    Why? What's wrong with parochialism?

The country isn't a homogeneous group of peoples. Those in the south west have an Irish influence. Those in the north east have a Norse influence. The land we work in has shaped our identities across the country.

Long live parochialism. Just need the weegies to understand we are not all weegies.

Well a bacon bap is best right enough.

Baps that they for some reason call springers from a Rhynie baker but sold in the shop on Rosemount Viaduct ( nae spar)
Duncans baker used to have the best white baps but they sadly went the way of most independent bakers.
Bacon’s a real problem in this country now but if you can find one that doesn’t spew out water and white gunge then that’s better.

Real butter but no sauce of any kind for me, and two is twice as fine as one.

    There, simple.

Isn’t that like the difference between nationalism and patriotism?

Parochialism implies narrow mindedness. Big difference between that and being proud of your regional roots and culture.

So what if it is a sausage and bacon bap/roll/toastie/softie/sandwich. What is the sauce of choice ?

Do you add sauce if it is bacon and egg or sausage and egg or even suasage, bacon and egg ?

    Oh fit a conundrum
