To say people can't get face to face consultations is completely wrong, only difference some might find is that you have the phone consultation first then get the face to face appointment, however this was always an option with my GP pre Covid. Neither of these were emergencies so for me personally i didn't see a problem.
My GP has been telephone only since March 2020.

Sadly we will never know as the numbers will be not be released due to ‘confidential reasons’ by the Scottish Government to ‘cover their backs’
70,000 excess deaths at home in England and Wales since march last year to oct this year NON COVID........a mix I'd assume of people not being treated, choosing to die at home as they didn't want to die alone in hospital and people not coming forward with symptoms..........but at least the NHS has been protected.

Its a national scandal that is grossly underreported in MSM.

To be honest I thought the whole point of the vaccination programme was to stop you getting covid. don't remember anyone saying it was designed to reduce the symptoms but you will still be liable to catch it.

Polio spread mostly by ingestion and notably by contact with infected faeces which is why so many people caught it by swimming in unchlorinated swimming pools although the connection between swimming and its spread is not widely accepted. The virus rarely spread via breathing it in although it did sometimes. once vaccinated the virus could not do its thing because it had to get into the gut by which time the vaccine killed it. Covid works via the lungs so technically you can breathe it in then breathe it out again before your body's immunoresponse has time to tackle and kill it.

    Both can kill you.
Fairmuir Special School was originally built as the result was of a previous polio epidemic in Dundee around 1938.

Pre Covid I always had a ‘face to face’ appointment with my GP but since 23rd March 2020 they have almost all been over the phone.
People throughout the U.K. are continually complaining about not being able to see their GP ‘face to face’.
This Monday I have an appointment with my GP. It is by a telephone call and I was not given the opportunity of seeing my GP ‘face to face’.

You have ‘hit the nail on the head’.
Everything is being done to protect the NHS not the U.K. residents.

Like you and probably the vast majority of people throughout the U.K. thought that the point of the Covid vaccination programme was to stop people getting the Covid-19 virus.
Although some posters will not agree with me I still believe that the current Covid-19 vaccinations are no use in stopping the spread of the Indian variant of the Covid-19 virus because the current Covid-19 vaccinations went into production in November 2020 to stop the spread of the Chinese variant.
However we will never know as like other fiascos in the NHS everything is covered up.

I can remember back in 1962 when the polio epidemic was running rife in Dundee my mother telling me not to tire myself out playing football.
At the time my father was a PE teacher at Fairmuir Special School in Dundee and it had a lot of pupils who wore a calliper on their leg as a result of having previously contracted polio.
