Actually hold that thought Davy I'm looking forward to asking the question on whether Notts will win or lose the playoffs nearer the time. No anonymous poll , no hiding, no waiting to see what happens no hindsight, a good old fashion prediction.
Well Notts County of course. We won and draw against them this season, and beat them in a play off match before. We are far superior to them, we just have to believe it in our intent and actions on the field

And another thing Laddo, we need to be more ruthless and have the dark art of football i.e. at times its great to have the free flowing nice football, but it needs to be combined with a bit of rough, remember Paul Harding even Lee Hughes

    Good point Davy
I don’t want that, but I want us to be able to overcome it..
This is the main issue that would give me pause for thought when predicting a playoff final against C’Field. That, and nerves

TBH whichever league we are in next season will need an attacking LWB with a bit more pace because we are restricted in our creativity if Ruben is marked out of the game or whatever reason not having a good one
The Wing Backs are our main source of attacking in our system
I must disagree with you about which side each winger should play, neither player was as effective as they were in their usual position. Each can usually reach the by-line and cross the ball to the penalty area, especially Nemane and Chicksen doesn't do too badly for a full-back encouraged to advance. LW must have coached them to play as they did yesterday but it didn't really work, the team looked compressed with not a lot of width.

I'm pleased we seem to have abandoned that dangerous (for us) rolling the ball out from goalie to wide defender, we ain't Premiership yet. Also we've just got to stop taking short corners when we can see the ref is ignoring the rules about distancing.

    Neither do your posts.
I thought Bostock was brilliant today he was everywhere controlling the midfield. A scrappy first half but once we scored it was game over.

There is not a snowballs chance in hell we are getting automatic, the fact is we blew it in the game that mattered
Yep we had our chance and we didn’t take it. I think it’s 99% gone but then I start to think if Notts needed 2 wins out of 3 games after a loss and draw in the last 3, including a fortunate draw against us, would I be that confident?

Whatever league we end up in next season, it is very exciting to think this is the version of JB we will see from the opening game of next season.
He's getting better with every game! I can't wait to see how he performs with a full pre season behind him

Personally I was happy him coming on as a sub to control a game in the second half. Many, including myself, much preferred JB deep and Palmer more advanced. Now thanks to some tweaks and tinkering from Mr Williams they are both now starters.

Does this combo look all set to start the playoffs games together, and the team selection decisions for the boss being elsewhere in the XI? Austin or Scott? Does JOB start etc? Or is this too premature, does it still depend on the opposition and how LW wants to approach that specific game?
Depends on the opposition. But it's probably a choice between Austin/Scott/JOB...rest of the team near enough picks itself now.
