Yea I don't agree with it at all either, Courts was clearly the one setting up the team, he was very into tactical stuff and all that, he was able to set the team up very well in Glasgow in particular, regardless of personnel and the team followed his gameplans to a tee each time

Watt only came in mid season too

Most of these rumours and stuff seems to try and get at TA let's be honest, I'm not even a big fan of him but don't get the dislike, almost as if some fans like drama, I want stability for the club that comes with Ogren maintaining ownership and TA is his man

Tony Watt is the next Alex Mathie. Played well for their previous clubs, once they sign for United they show how good they really are. Hopefully, Ronny Deila comes in for Mulgrew. As for Smith I heard someone say he is on a par with Proctor.

United has a game plan which equates to running around and punting the ball up the pitch. If that is what Watt and Mulgrew plan, the new manager should be Bert Paton.

    Exactly.

The constant rumours going round are getting absolutely ridiculous and the constant negative energy towards the people in charge of the club is very draining.

Can you blame people? Constantly changing managers, no sign of the standard of football any football fan would expect and what looked like promising signings failing to deliver. Our club has been utterly humiliated recently and fans are hurting. Little wonder negativity has gone through the roof.

Has anyody consisered that the players may have been rightly concerned about JR's way of doing things?

The players might have been concerned, but that’s no excuse for not being able to run, pass the ball and stop others from playing. If the formation isn’t working or the plan, they have to brave enough to adapt, communicate with the touch line that the plan isn’t working. I believe the players did down tools to a degree, if the fans downed tools we would be gone as a club!

As for Tony Watt, whilst he has ability he seems to have an attitude problem and I am pretty sure these traits have followed him throughout. He was another of Chick Youngs next big things that turned out to be a one season wonder. At 28 he ought to be still giving of his best, as there is at least one more decent contract in him, but not with us, I don’t think.

A bit harsh on Watt IMHO, he’s played well in the positions he’s been asked to take over the piece

Performing well he starts every week

Up to the next manager to get the best out of the squad

Possibly you are right s-b, but he is a senior pro and actually is a genuine talent; and others do have to take responsibility not just him. But the rumours, true or not seem to point towards him and a couple of others who seem to have influence. No one whoever it is; is bigger than the team or club. Whoever they are, signed a contract and took the money; give your all, even when the proverbial is hitting the fan and things are not quite you’d want them to be. You can still play football, that’s why you are there!
