Disagree. We had most of the possession in the second half. They managed about two shots after the break, one of which went in (when we had 10 men).

It wasn't a great performance, but i honestly don't think they looked loads better. A draw would have been a fair result.

Thing is though, they've got a lead to protect in the 2nd half and we're looking for an equaliser. If we're making comparisons for future reference regards the play-offs then you've got to lend weight to the 1st half with the score still level. I wouldn't be too confident if Pools are in the play offs with us.
We've took 4 points off Stockport and beaten Torquay. We've also beaten Chesterfield but they've come on leaps and bounds since. Halifax we drew away and lost at home.

Really? They may not have looked loads better, but they were definitely better, and a draw would be very unfair on them.

Let's not get carried away with the result here. Hartlepool are a very good and organised side so no shame in the loss. We looked a lot more coherent in the second half and I think with the right additions, we can challenge next season. This season, I fear, is too far gone to make any changes that will have any noticeable impact.

Very poor today. Passing in midfield was dreadful, particularly as we are supposed to be a passing side. Very sad to see Roberts limping off.
How many times have we left it until the second half, and a change of tactics at half time, before we start to play?
Never mind, we’ll have Doyle and Reeves back together again, next weekend!

How worryingly true. IB seems to have really taken to Reeves so the terrific 2 will be back in tandem sooner rather than later.
Solihull are another team who will be in our faces on Tuesday night having watched this so more of the same I think..

It wasn't very very bad! We defended pretty well and restricted them to very little in the second half. A terrible performance would have seen us turned over 5-0. We were poor in the final third and gave it away too much. That shouldn't be a surprise though, we've done that all season.

People need to be a little more patient and cut the new boss some slack.

I love that he tried to change it when he saw it wasn't working and I love that he has done away with ticka tacka.

I also agree that it wasn’t terrible, to be fair. We were simply beaten by a better team.

Absolutely agree. They were better than us at many things overall particularly in the first half that I've mentioned already.

I would give the manager some degree of credit today as he showed boldness to make changes to shape and personnel from after the first half an hour. The goal right before half time knocked us, but we were much better second half and he made positive substitutions.

The loss of Cal Roberts was a big big blow to him as an individual and the club, especially at a point when it looked like things were turning in the game for us. After then it was always going to be an uphill battle particularly with ten men.

I agree with all of this.
