Flint is well past it, we've got to be looking at significantly better than that in the summer.

It is possibly our best chance of a good fee for him.

Im aware he has had terrible injuries but as harsh as it sounds it is the best chance of a good fee.

Ironically I'd have preferred us to go down without a whimper, as I expected us to do. Instead we actually showed some fight in the second half and I really got behind them. It's the hope that kills you!

I think we were too passive and pedestrian in the first half. We didn't take our chances, we didn't get any luck and we didn't really have a proper go until we went behind.

I actually have some optimism for the second leg if we can raise our game and have a go. They're a physical side, well trained in the dark arts and we need to be savvy.

The first half was always going to be what it was. Notts looked the more likely as the half went on. Tremendous save by Bass, followed by a tremendous save from Grant.

Second half we picked it up, which was great to see. Grant simply has to score, too close to the GK, then Jatta should put Harbottle and the ball in on the rebound, but Grant should have buried it. Poor finish.

The goals a crap one to concede. Platt is being pulled, but Harbottle is free. I thought it at the time and seeing the replay confirms it for me; Bass should come for the cross. Harbottle is 7/8 yards out and the cross itself just loops in. Bass even stutters to come, then stops. Goalies ball all day.

Grants third chance is a sharp one at a difficult angle. Better off going higher, but thats purely based on seeing the replay. His fourth chance, beautifully created by Jarvis, should again be a goal. No conviction in the finish. Take him round him, or dink it, just put something on it.

Jattas tackle looked bad in real time, but I also thought their player reacted to it late. Like he realised it was a poor tackle and decided to act injured. Jatta was being pulled and this should have been given as a foul in the direct lead up to the tackle. He wins the ball but you cant really tackle like that.

Id like to see the handball shout on about 30 minutes and the Jatta offside again.

For 70 minutes until after they had scored I thought we were poor. I had high hopes seeing the line up as well.

First half, we were stood too far off them and showing far too much respect, how many touches did Reeves get each time he received the ball before we closed him down, same with the rest of their midfield and defence. First half should have seen Jones and Austin be switched as neither were impacting the game and it was crying out for somebody to take the full backs on around the outside.

Grant, dear me, been a waste of a shirt and poor signing all season and I have question the loyalty shown to him as he repeatedly produces
below par performances and tonight capped it off with poor decision making with his shooting.

Jatta is rapidly turning into the poor mans Gavin Gordon such is his woeful close control but an absolute clown for lunging in two footed like that. Whether it was a red or not he gave the referee a decision to make with an act of stupidity.

Please SM if we start Jones and Austin next game then start them on their correct sides where Jonss won best player of the division and Austin had his best form in a Notts shirt before his injury.

Honestly, we were crap. Another home defeat. So, next week it could be Morias and Traore up front. God help us.

I agree to a certain extent and we?ve not created anywhere near enough at home lately.

That said when you look at some of the games where we?ve clearly had the better chances and lost, it?s either bad luck or the players having those chances aren?t good enough, Jatta missed a hat full after Christmas as has Grant tonight.

Playing nice football is good and that wasn?t difference tonight that they were more savvy, they just scored and we missed.

I judge every game by the result obviously but probably more by how many clear cut chances we have compared to them. I think a big issue is we haven?t many goal scorers in the team which has killed us when we have actually played well.

Familiar story of our home games this season played ok but not good enough in both boxes. Referee was shyte but you cant rely on reffing decisions going your way, youve got to take your chances and not give em up.

Not irretrievable by any stretch but I wont travel with a lot of hope next week, we just always fall short against the better sides.
