Still need a good few more in to get to the same strength squad wise we were in early January
It fell through as United failed to sign Fred, right?

Looking at a lot of potential the signings so far. However this mirrors a similar style of business where we signed promising potential where Sackie and Thompson were including their own percentage from transfers. This never materialised and we got deservedly relegated.

I'd like United to live within their means and become self sufficient. Owners who think they are being clever and ignore the fans, for example, we need a keeper to replace the hologram, no we'll be fine............We need three 30-32 aged players because if we get off to a terrible start where is the experience to pull it back? One at centre-half, midfield and centre forward imo.

    Discipline & Off‑field Concerns

Hamulić has developed a reputation for causing off-field issues at clubs:

Training attendance / engagement: Recently at Widzew Ł?dź, coach ?eljko Sopić removed him from the squad because ?he wasn?t giving 100 % in training?

    Toulouse incidents:

He missed training sessions and refused to wear the rainbow campaign kit when asked by the club

A teammate of Toulouse (in a Reddit comment) labeled him ?the most disliked player in Toulouse despite almost never playing,? citing missed sessions and the rainbow‑kit refusal

    Social media missteps:

He posted (then deleted) a video suggesting he was ?Welcome to Celtic,? despite never signing for them

    International drama:

He publicly teased switching allegiance to the Netherlands on Instagram when he wasn?t selected by Bosnia, then reversed course months later upon recall

These incidents collectively paint Hamulić as unpredictable, sometimes unprofessional off the pitch, and potentially disruptive in dressing‑room environments.

    On-field Performance
Since his Stal Mielec breakout, his form has dipped significantly:

No goals in about 30 club games across Toulouse, Vitesse, Lokomotiv (Russia), and now Widzew Ł?dź

Analysts label him a ?flop? at this level  and recent clubs have grown less tolerant?leading to his exclusion from squads.

Thanks for that dossier but all the same, think he would have been good for our level and JG has done not bad at getting something out of players that seem to be disrupters like Watt

Ciftci was no angel as an example but excelled in one place and that was with us

It can happen and again, had a good feeling about that one, so I'm disappointed it didn't get over the line

Still plenty time though to bolster the squad, however lots of gaps to fill from January and ends of season

Bullet dodged by the sounds of it.

We don't want to be bringing in a disruptive boy like that into what appeared to be a pretty happy dressing room and squad.

The togetherness of the team last season was one of the reasons we had a successful 1st season back in the top league IMO.

I have always had a problem with signing strikers who do not score goals.I cannie put my finger on why though.

I agree we dodged a bullet on that one

I also agree this is a bit of a gamble.

It?s mostly young foreign based players we are going for.

The hit / miss rate is going to be unpredictable

It does remind me of that last year under Jackie as well

JG has done well so far in recruitment though so we have to wait and see on all these unknowns coming in

Fingers crossed this can propel us forwards

Like Ciftci, 2 career goals when we signed him

    33 goals for DUFC

66 career goals for about 18 clubs overall

    You just never know

I'm more inclined to worry about his shyte attitude tbh, Dalby hadn't scored very many before he came to us and he did OK. Don't get me wrong I'd rather we could go out and get a proven goal machine but they are out of our reach sadly. All we can do is hope to bring the best out of the unproven ones, some will work and then there's VDS 🫤

Of course if we?re talking about attitude then we could be looking closer to home at Rory MacLeod who is now back up the road from Southampton with his tail between his legs. I note that during the week several young players (including Fotheringham) have been offered and accepted new contracts. Except Macleod who the Club stated had been offered terms but they were ?awaiting a response?. Obviously we?re covering our backs for development fees (unlike Big Fat Tone) but this laddie needs to get a grip of himself. Where else is he going to be going now exactly? Put out ?on loan? by United, punted back up the road by Southampton and currently effectively out of contract and (on good authority) thinks United are ?phucking schite?. Don?t know what his problem is but he could do no worse than look at the likes of Johnny Russell, a very similar player by all accounts who knuckled down, worked his trade and had a great career to the benefit of all concerned.

Maybe so but a keeper who communicates well and helps organize the defence in front of him is a huge asset. Some young guy who can?t speak English isn?t gonna do that. Anyway, we?ll find out soon enough.

I'm not too worried, we've had plenty of foreign keepers down the years, some bloody good ones too. I've a good feeling about this one.
