Jim Duffy was another turkey as a manager. Glum Jum was a top striker with the Famous Dundee FC.

Brendan Rodgers backing that theory up at the moment.

I think it depends on the man rather than what position he played, Mourinho never really even played and he's done ok.

    Jim Duffy?

    By Jim Duffy
HE'S a better finisher than Wayne Rooney.

He could keep Rafa Benitez in an job. Quite why Manchester United and Liverpool are not fighting it out to sign Kris Boyd astonishes me.
I know there are people out there who will scoff at the mere suggestion Boyd could hack it at Old Trafford or Anfield.
For me both clubs are crying out for someone like the Rangers No9 and I'm staggered they haven't thought about it. Aston Villa and Birmingham are the two Premiership clubs battling it out for his signature.
With those options in front of him there is only one place he should go in my book - and that's Villa Park.
Stick Boyd in one of the top English sides and I would guarantee you he would plunder the Premiership.
Liverpool would be the ideal fit because Fernando Torres is in and out of the Reds side

Duffy, the man who kept a then decent human being Nacho Novo on the bench for our only Scottish Cup final in my lifetime

Well, apart from nicking his mate's bird after they put him up and looked after him, he was decent

Oh, also, the time he dropped a fellow team-mate in it after a night's drinking turned bad

    Decent apart fae that.

I initially agreed but now struggling to think of defenders who made good managers.

McLeish has been good at times I guess.
