His coach said when Gary Woodland and Bubba Watson appeared on the scene and started hitting it 350 yards Tiger felt a bit left out. He went from being one of the longest on tour to just being average length in the space of a few years. He also refused to change to the larger club head that everybody else on tour was using out of stubbornnes and it was fellow pros that told him he had to change or he'd get left behind in length.

A good drive for me these days is 250 yards what wae ma bad back and gammy shoulder.

I've never been a big hitter. If it goes 230 yards and I keep it on the fairway and make par that's good enough for me.

Aye straight in golf is always good and chipping and putting is where you make your score...the score-card doesn't paint a picture.

Ma uncle is well in to his 70's and still plays off 5 up in Glasgow...he can chip and putt like dynamite.

And he probably knows every blade of grass on his local course. You can't beat local knowledge.

Watching that ladies golf this morning and some nice sorts playing...that wee Spanish girl Nunoz and Paula Creamer...wouldn't mind playing a round wae them!
