[quote="AguyIknow" venue for the semi-final DU will be entitled to half the tickets. Whether they'll want to take up that allocation or not is another thing. If it's 20K DU and 32K TR then presumably it'll be one end and part of one stand for DU[/quote]

When we played Falkirk in the SC Semi in 98 they got the Govan Stand and Hearts got the rest of the stadium. I think it was the same with Raith Rovers when they beat Selik in the LCF.

I don't think either Falkirk or RR had 20,000 fans there though. Is it the Broomilan Stand behind the goal - doubt that would be sufficient for 20K tbh, or either of the stands running the length of the pitch either.

The Govan holds 11,000 and there's no guarantee Dundee Utd will sell 20,000.

It's Broomloan and the stand holds 7,000, as does the Copland Road stand.

The Govan stand holds 11,000 and the Bill Struth Main Stand holds just over 20,000 (I think). The corners must hold a couple of thousand too.

Given Dundee Utd's home attendances, they'd be pushing it to ask for more than 15,000.

Given that we've seen there's an upsurge in interest for team support in the latter stages of tournaments then maybe there'll be more than 15K.

But let's suppose that it is "only" 15K DU fans turn up, I can't see the main stand being given over to DU to be honest.

And as the far stand is 11,000 (surprised a fan of Hearts would know the capacity of the various areas of another ground BTW) that wouldn't be enough to accomodate them.

Plod may impose a limit on the number of DU fans given the logistics involved in accomodating their numbers in various areas
