No justification for it whatsoever, regardless of the target or cause.

Any targeting of innocent civilians is wrong. That goes for the so called terrorist groups and nation states.

Because some 'terrorist' organisations go on to be part of the government.

    One mans...etc.

Whether it's the I R A or the Israelis in Palestine or the ANC in South Africa.

One dead ex-terrorist was just feted all around the world recently.

It becomes a grey area when more an more people believe that it's a just cause and of course you have the legitimate and illegitimate targets debate.

But my point was more about the deliberate targeting of innocent people. I just don't understand how any group can think that it will gain support for them by random acts of violence.

For the point of clarification I am quite happy for these groups to be called terrorists. The context of my comment is nation states who commit acts of terrorism are rarely labelled terrorists. I'm consistent I condemn any civilians being targeted whether they are wearing a uniform or not.

Terrorism is terrorism whoever carries out the atrocity. I don't know why that is so hard a concept to work out. Or is it more excusable if a nation state kills people?
