if you want to see a great goal, try Arsenals earlier in the season when they played several one-twos.
that goal took a hell of a lot more vision than rooneys but it wont get a mention now.

Could you nominate three top european players who you feel should be ahead of Messi and Ronaldo etc when it comes to accolades and awards.

when it comes to accolades for last year, messi and ronaldo didnt contribute as much at the highest level(champions league later stages and world cup qualifiers) than the german born bayern players.

germany qualified for the wc a lot more impressively than portugal whom ronaldo only scored 2 goals in the group stages and probably assisted next to fek all.

also bayern produced far more effective football than real madrid and barca(who they beat 7-0 in aggregate) in later stages, and actually cleaned up every trophy possible.

so why do so many people not see that those guys produced far more effective football for the team than messi or ronaldo. so in my opinion and others these guys should get the accolades because of what they made thier club achieve.

it seems the world cannot see any other option than messi or ronaldo.
