I'm slightly more optomistic then i was before this season. I now think we have a chance of making the quarters if we play well. Like ramondo though i'm just looking forward to seeing some great football. Its a WC in ****ing Brazil...can't wait.

I think you have become a closet scouser Triz - 7 players from Liverpool, one future Liverpool player and one past one. (NB I use Liverpool in the wider sense of the expression).
If we're going to do anything we have to capitalise on the fact that liverpool have lots of good english players in their team that got to 2nd in the league and they know how to play with each other.

we wish mate. lets not forget hodgson's tactics last time round of playing for penalties against Italy despite having the worst record in world football. we someone qualified despite struggling to beat any of our rivals on what was a poor group.

hodgson's too defensive. I'd much rather lose having a go.
I'm aware of the last major tournament and how stale the performances were but Hodgson had no time to impose himself on that squad and now he has had time I'm more positive and he deserves a good go at this without being slated before a ball has been kicked at the World Cup. Slate him

I don't think Henderson would be anywhere near the England team if he didn't play for Liverpool. nowhere near good enough imho.

Liverpool fans have him down as one of there best players this season, and theyve had a pretty good season. Ive heard a lot of liverpool fans wax lyrical about him, they love

I agree 100%, he's very ordinary. We can put out a decent first 11, but after that we struggle. Pity Flannagan hasn't played at international level, has played well for Liverpool, at right and left back. I'm not a great fan of Johnson he's OK going forward but can't defend.

This squad can play with pace but whether they will in the rain forest is debatable. I can see Rooney struggling in the humidity.

if we get past a very hard group stage then we can do well if Hodgson doesn't revert to caution.

Can we get Rodgers in on a 6 week contract?
