Thread: Lallana wants to leave

    re: Lallana wants to leave

It's very rare that i agree with Matt these days but i think he makes some very good points.
Whilst i don't begrudge anyone the opportunity to better themselves, there are ways and means of going about it. Adam is captain and a year into an alleged 45 grand a week 5 year contract which he seemed very happy to sign.
If he wants to leave then it might be wise to show his employers a little bit more respect as apposed to acting like a petulant child.
From a SFC point of view it is very important that we stand our ground, if we buckle then derisory offers for Lovren, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Clyne and Chambers will come flying in.
On a greater scale it's important to show that the more "unfashionable" clubs can punch above their weight and not just roll over when their players "need Champions League football" and have to accept them leaving

People tend not to do this kind of OTT moral posturing for most transfers, but realistically this is how most happen when players are on the way up. This one gets higher volume coverage due to England and Liverpool connection.

When lala signed his deal, he signed up to a different regime than exists now. Should the club have the right to turn things on their head and still expect happy players?

When Adam signed his new contract last season he didn't have the opportunities that he has now, fair enough.
If he wants to leave then he should submit a transfer request and if Liverpool offer what we want he can go
Simple really and everyone is happy

Yes it's sp@zweb but this poster Guan seems to be a bit ITK. Makes a lot of sense.

So Ads may well be off, but at least it's not all doom and gloom after all.
Very much ITK from previous stuff he's posted
