West Ham will no doubt be disappointed with the news, as Sheaf is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the country.

He made his debut for England’s Under-16 team last season and is being tipped to feature more for the Three Lions in the future.

Can't say I blame him, he was never going to get a game under Allardyce anyway which is probably why he and his parents decided career progression would be better elsewhere.
I wish the f-uckin press wouldn't hammer the sh1t out of the word "Wonderkid".

I'm sure these journos are in the pocket of the agents who want these kids hyped up out of all proportion to boost their sell on price.

    unsure now

Sky Sports understands West Ham United are ready to offer starlet Reece Oxford a bumper deal in a bid to fend off interest from their Premier League rivals.

The likes of Chelsea and Arsenal are thought to be weighing up moves to lure Oxford away from Upton Park.

Oxford is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Upton Park and is tipped for a big future in the game.

The England Under 16 international has been earning reviews in the West Ham academy and this has alerted other clubs to his potential and talent.

West Ham are determined to keep hold of Oxford and are ready to offer the centre-back a deal which would make him one of the best paid youngsters at the club. - view external link

    And this weeks promising player set to leave West Ham . . . . . . . . . .

That young academy team that performed so well last season seem to be in high demand at the big clubs.

I make no apologies for being disappointed about the haemorrhaging of our best youth team for over a decade. - view external link

Disappointing that clubs like ours are no longer able to retain the best talent. Undoubtedly.

But the best youth team for a decade? We were knocked out of the FAYC last season by Accrington Bloody Stanley as I recall.

I thought the U16's finished 2nd this year and first in their age group last year? Do the U16's play the FA Youth Cup? I always thought that was the older age group.

Anyway Whisky, whenever I post anything about youth players I can always rely on you for a reality check. . . . . . . .I definitely get the vibe that you don't share my enthusiasm or desire to have home
