Although I agree that Hamas were the instigators, Israel's response has been massively disproportionate and has just ensured a few more thousand children grow up hating them.

A short term victory but in the longer term, they will continue to live in conflict.

When did Hamas start "instigating", do ye have a date for this ?

So, if that's the "logic" you're following, then there's actually nothing going on right this minute, so you'll be withdrawing your support for Scotland flying the Palestinian flag, right?

And as soon as Hamas or Hezbollah fire more rockets into Israel, or suicide-bomb and Israeli bus/restaurant/etc., you'll be calling for the Scottish government to fly the Israeli flag in solidarity against these terrorist actions, right?

Nope, and for the basic reason in that Israel can and should show the appropriate reaction and level or response tae terrorism, that I would actually support. If they were trying close off the tunnels intae Israel, if they were targetting only those who targetted them, the world would support them, they arent, they have went well beyond human decency.
