Scotland turning its back on Israel ?

Heard a couple of wee stories that the Scottish Cabinet has asked for an arms embargo on Israel tae be implemented by the Westminster government and that Glasgow City Council are considering flying the Palestine flag tae show solidarity with the people of Gaza currently under the jackboot of the terrorist state. Dunno if they are true, but would be delighted if they were.

So, hang on ... Hamas start all this by firing rockets into Israel from Gaza, but it's Israel who are the "terrorist state"?

What kind of mad logic is that?

Scotland should not be taking sides in this.

...and Israel started it by forcing people from living in houses and land designated as theirs in previous treaties and also blockading humanitarian efforts...and the PLO started it by swearing vengeance on Israel...and Israel started it by invading the Golan Heights, Gaza and the East Bank of the Jordan and Palestine started it by rising up against the mandate drawn up by Britain tae give land over tae displaced Jews after the Second World War...get my drift.

Forget whats gone on before, right now, Israel is acting outwith decent humanity by making civilians, casualties of a war they have no bearing in, that is terrorism and indefenceable.

Although I agree that Hamas were the instigators, Israel's response has been massively disproportionate and has just ensured a few more thousand children grow up hating them.

A short term victory but in the longer term, they will continue to live in conflict.
