cant understand why we don't try this ,at least away from home[/quote]

It's a bug-bear of mine that we've not given it a go these last 3 seasons.

At home it could become more of a 4-3-1-2 with Hughes in the 'hole'. Would give us an extra man up with Martin and extra man in the middle to control mid-field.

this really is a key point. when hendrick and Bryson play together Bryson hardly gets into the opposition box at all, hendrick does it instead which is why he's cashed in with a couple of goals. when Bryson's not doing that he becomes a bit of an average championship midfielder.

the midfield is completely imbalanced at the moment. imho the reason we were so good last season is that the 11 players complimented each other so well - perfect balance.

although hendrick may be in the best form individually I think the team plays better with hughes & Bryson as the midfield 2 with someone else in DMF. I'd also argue (angry) that our best option at the moment is Eustace. it's too soon to judge omar but he just looks a bit too 'nice' like hughes. a neat and tidy player isn't what we need there, we need someone that can protect the back 4 first and foremost. if he can di

The case for giving Eustace the chance to show if he can do the job is very strong when the option is to use Hughes instead. Some of us have argued from the start that Hughes should play further forward, for a load of different reasons.

If the aim is to use Mascarell in the long run, there is still a case for starting Eustace and then replacing him with Mascarell as he tires i.e. just like the Hughes/Mascarell combination is being used now.

To answer the OP, No I wouldnt drop Bryson or Hendrick I agree with Toggles. I'd try either Russell or Best up front with Martin. All the wide stuff could be done by Forsyth & Christie. With Hughes further forward & Eustace/Marscells DM. I don't think Dawkins should be starting. He holds the ball well then goes & spoils it by giving it away! So frustrating.

I rest my case! Eustace all the way b)

On one game against poor opponents? I'd say that Eustace won't be able to play all game for all of the season, so still need another option.
